The particular tractor I was driving yesterday and today is my 1941 Ford 9n. She turned 80 this year. I bought her from a collector in his 80's who was downsizing so his kids wouldn't have so much to deal with after he dies. I spent two weeks repairing, adjusting, and modernizing to bring her into top form. Fun fact about the 9n. It was the first tractor to use the 3 point lift system, now standard on all tractors, designed by Harry Ferguson. Harry entered into a napkin contract with Henry Ford which went sour and ended in a lawsuit. After all was said and done Harry Ferguson ended up starting the Ferguson tractor company basically making copycat 9n's for the international market. Lots of complicated shit later, we have Massey Ferguson and New Holland tractors as the direct descendants of this particular tractor.
I wonder about the accreditation of your "university."
As for the pet postings the only one I have now is my snake. He's interesting, but emotionless. I had a really great cat and dog for a while. They hated each other but could put up with being around each other. The black cat never peed or pooped inside. I didn't even have to bother giving him a litter box. I have a dog door and he would rather go outside to do his business. He'd stay inside for a couple of weeks only leaving to go to the bathroom or stay gone for a couple of weeks only coming home to eat. He was sweet and a free spirit. In the end he started acting weird one day and bit me and one of my children before croaking. I figure he found a poisoned rat and ate it and got poisoned himself. I was afraid of rabies at first and we got the vaccine at the ER . He was sent off and he was rabies free thank goodness. As for my dog, he stayed near a family member pretty much at all times. I had a rabbit killing one day and of course I threw him some here and there. He went with me to get rid of the waste and had another meal then came with me back to the house. I woke up the next morning and he was gone. He went for a midnight rabbit snack and a coyote got him. He was a little feller with the ego of a big feller. I'm sure he knew he would win up until the very end. I'm on the lookout for a new dog or cat. I always pick up strays. I haven't been able to pick one up so I may go to a shelter. It's been on my mind recently.
