Honestly, this won't have any impact on Twitch largely because the streamers that are already in good with Twitch staff are going to continue to be able to do whatever they want. Recall earlier this year when it came out that there was hidden metrics, including the streamer's relationship with Twitch staff? This just seems like trying to scare their streamers into being optical and to cover this bases, it just says that it'll work with law firms if it finds anything of interest.

Erm your BSS rating seems a little too low.... I think you could use a week long vacation.

I like how the people defending this are using the usual "if you have not done anything bad why are you worrying" argument.

Yeah, I just have a feeling you somehow won't see Alinity, Pokimane, DSP, Ninja or literally fucking anyone big enough with a partner contact, doing anything "bad". Even if they do.

TL;DR: If you livestream on Twitch, Jeff Bezos is paying a 3rd party private investigation firm to spy on every fucking thing you do. They've also opened a tipline at <osit@twitch.tv> to narc on your favorite Twitch streamers.

Genuinely wondering if there's some way I can make it unlawful for Twitch or "third-party investigation firms" in association with Twitch to use the site.
People are actually narcing again? Wasn't that considered gayer than snitching by the mid 90's?
We really have regressed.

The people who run Twitch are such blatantly bias bad actors that the chances of this new policy to be abused and selectively imposed are a foregone conclusion.

Any platform that is so Orwellianly draconian to the point that they have to monitor their users off-site activity are one step away from also monitoring your language and behavior in the privacy of your own home.

How long before having a Twitch account also means that you grant permission to Amazon to openly monitor whatever Alexa or any Kindle devise picks up with their camera and microphone?

Welcome to the corporate sponsored 1984 future.

I wonder how this will affect the cam girls on there. I imagine they're doing this to get "investigative" porn.

This doesn't surprise me one bit with how extremely left wing and one sided the platform is.

So in other words, if that thing with Vinny or Ross held even a bit more merit, they could have just been banned without any fucks being given, damn.
They probably already tried narcing to Twitch and nobody found an issue. ProJared didn't get banned and he barely streamed before his scandal occured.

Welp, time for some schizo to mail that tip line the years' worth of Darksydephil footage off YT. I know fuckall's gonna happen, but it's funny to imagine them getting flooded with classic DSP quotes such as "Leave it to a jew to drop in uninvited!"
Couldn't people actually spam that e-mail Twitch gave out with a bunch of innocuous shit, making it impossible to actually sort through and find the legitimate complaints?

I'm thinking similar to that dumbass WuFlu snitch line some Democrat mayor set up that immediately got flooded with dick pics and subsequently shut down.

Again with this 'mad at the internet' rating of people who aren't mad at the internet. Why is this so common all of a sudden? Have I been blind the last few years?
