Nobody is surprised. We're annoyed that yet another artist we've tried to give the benefit of the doubt to is a fucking sex pest. Nobody wants to just jump on the nonce cancel culture bandwagon unless they browse twitter 24/7; it's draining.
Personally, I found his work (edit: what I had seen at that point) to be incredibly suspicious, but I still wanted to give their breakthrough album a shot because the production sounded pretty good. There's a difference between being tentative and making excuses imo.
At this point we might as well start judging people before we even talk to them, because everyone's a stereotype, and it's been like that for the last decade.

Before Sheldon privated his Twitter, it was absolutely filled with nothing but incessant ramblings about the police and stupid TV shit, as well as retweeting fan "art". Unfortunately, I have only two screenshots to contribute because I wasn't super invested in scrolling past nude art of this troon, but I assure you the posts I screencapped weren't just isolated incidents. The entire Twitter feed was coomer and leftoid shit.
Here is Sheldon trying to justify him stealing a dead girl's name for his music career instead of just admitting it's AGP shit:
Last Summer, a friend of mine and some of his friends fucked with Sheldon quite a bit, which coincided with many things that lead Sheldon to the first of many many social media account lockdowns. Another user already posted Sheldon's message explaining his break.
And of course, we shouldn't forget that Sheldon is a total sex pest and he posted thigh pics and weird tranny shit in his now defunct server that (ALLEGEDLY) included many underaged members.
The Discord was eventually shut down due to constant raids. Apparently near the end, the mods spampinged people and users created NIGGER reaction chains on every message in the thread, which led to much seething in the comments of this Reddit post about the shutdown.

I want to make it clear that I only heard that there were kids in the server secondhand. A friend of mine who fucked with Sheldon for a bit has a friend who was in the server, and that friend told him, who told me, so it may or may not be true. I'm going to assume it's true because it's funnier that way and it's most likely the case anyways.

If he really cared about her, he would've constantly talked about her story. SlipKnot would take any chance they could to respect the girl that inspired them to write Purity, because they thought the story they read was real, and it made them physically ill thinking about it. They talked about how they wrote that song with the express purpose of spreading a message; the same message Sewercunt claims to want to spread. I don't know if the song should've been in the 99-00 setlist, but at least the emotions behind everything done with that song were incredibly genuine.

Subject matter doesn't necessarily mean anything. Hey venetian snares made a concept album about child murder and seems like one of the most consistently nice people in music. His social media looks like my moms.
What makes this different is how disgustingly fixated sewerslut is on this and the imagery he continues to use. there's no excuse to keep using a name so flagrantly disrespectful to a real life murder victim after the origin of the name has become well known. Another decent example of "respecting" victims that comes to mind is Jeff Mangum of Neutral Milk Hotel. Yeah, yeah. I know. Cheesy /mu/core whatever.
Anyways, this is probably a little off, but from what I recall, he had a dream about Anne Frank then read her diary and was heavily affected by it. He kept dreaming about helping her and whatever. Honestly he was kind of obsessed with her but not like... In a gross way. A couple of songs he's recorded were loosely inspired by her. Lines like, "I wish I could save her in some sort of time machine". Shit about how he loves her. That's it. Nothing alarming.
What Sewerslvt is doing is like, if Mangum went by Änne Fränk or some shit and made songs about fetishising the torture Jews endured and like, loving Nazism or something.
