Missed the first hour, but looks like its going well. Any notable bits from prosecution? Or just more reeing about it not being according to training standards

This seems like a big moment for the defense. Walking the use of force expert witness for the prosecution painstakingly through the events with an emphasis on things that would reasonably have increased Chauvin's perception of risk. Probably trying to undermine the jury's perception that the expert witness made a good call when he said that the use of force was unreasonable. I wonder how often that works?

But BLM and Antifa don't want cops defending themselves with force, so you can reasonably assume they sure as hell don't want you, a random citizen, defending yourself.
You don't have to assume it at all, the chimping out at Rittenhouse and the McCloskeys for daring to defend themselves is direct proof.

EDIT: not to mention the reaction to Ohio going Stand Your Ground.
Nichols worries the new law will exact a heavy toll on minority communities.

"It's a racist law," Nichols said. "I think for Ohioans that this is a, very obviously, a step in the wrong direction. This is a step backwards into another century."

Look, think of it this way: Murder 2 is intentional murder that wasn’t pre-planned. There doesn’t need to be a motive, but there has to be intent, *in that moment* when you did it.

Murder 3 is when you are deliberately trying to commit a felony such as an armed robbery but your gun goes off by accident and someone dies. You didn’t intend to kill them, beforehand or at the time, but if you weren’t there robbing that bank, they’d be alive.

Neither needs a motive. In fact, sometimes a really good motive can reduce your charge to manslaughter.
This is not accurate. There is no general legal concept of Murder 2 or 3. What constitutes the various murder and manslaughter charges vary by state.

The EXACT Minnesota criminal statute code has been posted multiple time.

There’s a good chance she just followed him out. He was like “honey I’m gonna go talk to them and figure this out” and like a dog slipping out the door she went HAM

I know we all like to joke around and be hyperbolic about how the trial is going but the current exchange is pretty solid for the defense.

So for the record, this guy just blew the fuck out of that lieutenant a few days ago who said when someone is handcuffed they present no conceivable threat.

Nelson looks like a soy with those glasses and that haircut and facial hair but then he opens his mouth and you realize it was all camouflage and you're not making it back to reddit you got lured in and it's over you're a CHUD now
