Chadwick Boseman. Dude wasn't just a pretty good actor and writer, he had a pair of tungsten steel cojones

Imagine being told you have inoperable ass cancer, and instead of moping around and quitting everything, you steal the fucking show in your Marvel debut, make your solo film, and show up in both parts of the finale, before unfortunately checking out on life.

Granted, he did a lot more than capeshit, but he brought to life one of Jack Kirby's biggest dark horses and essentially made it impossible to recast without completely wasting the entire MCU.

Mad respect to the CHAD(wick) BOSS(man).

There is a very pleasant old black lady that spent her time in our local library. She was quiet and would always read her books. One day she sees me browsing the jazz section of CD's and suggested I listen to George Benson's "Breezin" and Miles Davis' "In a Silent Way". Two of my now favorite albums. Not to mention every time since then, she'd always give me a butterscotch or carmel and call me "sweetheart" or some other comforting pet name.

God I want the libraries to open again, I kinda miss her. (:_(

I'm going to say Spike Lee. And possibly his race politics drives you nuts, or you were annoyed at this lolcow-ish shit fit against the third-tier SpikeTV network for dudebros, or his tantrum about Quentin Tarantino apparently being the one white guy in the country allowed to say "nigger" all he likes, but seriously, watch 25th Hour.

More or less devoid of his usual politics, it's a phenomenally well-directed movie with one of Ed Norton's greatest performances, including Spike's best "guy yelling at himself in a mirror" soliloquies.

I'm also a fan of Do the Right Thing, even though the central irony of that movie is the protagonist does not do the right thing, because there was literally no right thing to do, just a horrible choice of wrong things.
