The Fullmetal Alchemist universe is one of those anime universes that I would love to see more stories set in. Nothing connected to the plot of the original anime or its characters, just something set in the universe of alchemy and politics and conspiracy.

It's weird. Every time I watch LoGH I get absorbed into the episode at hand, but I can't bring myself to watch more than one episode a night (if I watch it at all that night). I'm in love with the show but I think I'm subconsciously trying to take it slow.

Is anyone watching God Eater? Is it worth watching? I love that studio's animation, but if the story's shit, it won't be worth it. Plus I'm not huge on the show's designs from what I've seen.

There are times when I'm glad we're far from this...

It's hard to believe that there was a time when you could splice two shows together and make it appear like the people in these two shows were interacting and get away with it.

But that was then, of course. I personally own a tape of another attempt to do this, Saban Entertainment's Macron 1. Gotta love that 80s-tastic theme:

Macron 1 also went so far as to pick up actual 80's tunes to stick in there as well during their original broadcasts, and yet apparently even the guys who worked on it knew how stupid it was and hard hard it was for the viewers to follow along with it.

Really now? I could follow along with the tape I have of it fine, but then again, that's just me.

The tape, by the way, doesn't have any 80s pop tunes in it - but they keep in lines like "Get ready to beat it!" and "We're going to hit 'em with our best shot!"

Well again, this was only when it originally aired, as they had to remove those songs when they released it later on home video (I can only assume legal reasons).
In the end, a pointless gimmick if any.

I get the idea of trying to appeal to the younger generation with the pop songs. But there's already a fucking giant robot and explosions. What, they didn't think those were enough?

So it was just a Linkin Park.amv video that somehow stretched itself into a full fledge show? Amazing.

They apparently wanted to make it sort of like "an animated Miami Vice" - yes, that's right.

Remember that this same company also produced Kidd Video, a show that had music videos featured in it as well.

In the end, though, they were all cut out on their video release.

Kidd Video was made by DiC, actually. Still had the same guys on as composers, but didn't produce it.

So this just happened in the new Jojolion Chapter

Somehow the English dub of JoJo got leaked online.

Stroheim and Speedwagon are terrible, and I haven't found any clips of him yet but I hear Caesar sounds awful (Not surprising considering he's played by Bryce Papenbrook) but at least everyone else sound okay.
