I'm keeping the details relatively close to the vest for now, but I can report that I have discovered what Shaner has been using his down time for: Making more socks. I have uncovered a network of (literally!) dozens of Shaner socks on Facebook (several of which have friended me). The rabbit hole goes deep indeed.

Also, please allow me to second those who support Lennay's continued presence in this thread. Yes, there has been a lot of useless shit-posting, but there are also two big upsides: (1) It keeps him from stalking people IRL, and (2) there have also been some truly delicious moments that could only have occurred as the result of his unique contributions to our community.

Only very technically, if at all. I know people who have Facebooks for their cat and stuff and I've heard of people roleplaying on it, so I think it's only enforced if someone reports you.
