Have you ever seen the Walt Disney Animated film Pinocchio? If so, you definitely know who the character Jiminy Cricket is? Have any of you or anyone you knew, ever found the hots for this said cricket, to the point that you claim that Jiminy is your husbando and that he belongs to you? No? Well then, you have not seen Hollie May Bringull (AKA Jiminycricketfan007 of Deviantart).

I first knew of her through her "art" being featured on the tumblr blog Socially Unaccpetable Art 2 (before it was taken down because, you know, tumblr fucking sucks). As a result, some of her other "art" got featured on there and she ended up getting an Encyclopedia Dramatica page.

When she found out that trolls were mocking her for sperging of a fictional cricket, she then started drawing shipping art of Cliff Edwards (who was the voice actor of Jiminy Cricket and was happily married and dead for years). I have no idea which is worse, the fact that she ships herself with a fucking cricket or the fact that she ships herself with a dead guy.

While BloodDirkStormKing is indeed a huge tryhard, the notoriety and lol that (in my opinion) make this thread at least somewhat valid come mostly from the fact that this girl is in love with Jiminy Cricket, out of all the possible animated fetish fuel. Such an attraction is so bizarre and incomprehensible that it warrants being discussed somewhere; if not here, then at least in the DeviantArt thread. Perhaps not a thread of its own, but it's strange enough to be discussed somewhere.

Let me preface this with the remarks that posting from mobile is absolutely miserable, but i dont feel like grabbing my laptop.

Im going to echo what has already been said, in that her unhealthy obsession with Jiminy along with the fetishized art does not necessarily equate with being a lolcow or requiring her own thread. It became more cow-like when she showed up and theatened Null and then chimped out soon after.

But, I digress. So, onto the main event; gleaned from one of the comment chains that were linked early on in the thread.

Regardless of the variable that you use in place of X, your're treading into very dangerous waters of obsession over whatever it may be. And generally speaking, that manner of obsession is consuming, and in many cases, rrther offputting unless the other party has a shared interest(furries, mlp, sonic). But those are a more broad obsession and can be managed(sometimes).

Hyperfocus on a singular entity comes off as trying to fill a void in ones life that is not currently sated. And with that unhealthy focus, even if there was someone that loved you, would there even be a place for them, given the obsession that exists?
