This is the power of Nintendo hardware and GameFreak in 2021.

The fact that they kept the remakes perspective as it was is fucking blessed. Dont have much to say on Acreaus, it currently looks like those old videos dropping nintendo models in an UNREAL engine grass field.

I wonder if they'll add in more fire types for the Sinnoh Remakes.
Theyll probably use platinum's pokedex.

Regardless of whether, or not the stream actually crashed (it did, at least for some people), I'm okay with what we got shown. My only complaint is that I really don't like the chibi-style they chose for the top-down perspective for the remakes.

Frankly, I'm just glad my man Cyndaquil's finally getting the representation he deserves.
Cyndaquil is going to need a lot more then that...
a charizard that cant fly, mega evolve, or gigantimax....
what a disaster...

Personally, I don't mind the chibi style in the overworld. It stays true to style from the original and (probably) allows them to focus their detail more on the environment rather than individual characters.

Then again, I was more a fan of the "Chibi model in the overworld and more detailed models in battles and cutscenes" look that the DPP went for.

Charizard doesn't have eruption. That makes Typhlosion objectively superior.

Fuck bro... I just want gen 5 spritework again....

as for eruption, I will use Camerupt, and actual good pokemon.

Okay, looking at these games... Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl look really good in 3D. In the overworld, they've clearly leaned heavily on Link's Awakening's aesthetic.

Then there's the other big one, Pokemon Legends Arceus. You can definitely spot this rough around the edges, like that 10 FPS chingling, like the team isn't exactly experts at super big open worlds, but there's clearly an aesthetic here.

I'm definitely intrigued, these games look interesting.

I like the water color asthetic on all the models but yeah that fps count makes deadly premonition 2 look like it's running on a super PC

Well they did it, they made two games based on sinnoh, one is a Remake made by a capable and promising third-party ILCA and a overly experimental and lackluster Pokemon Legends Arceus that run on 15 fps
The safe option to pick would be the remake.
