She made the mistake of giving the game away too early.

Say you're a transwoman. If someone asks you how long you've been on HRT or if you've had surgery, tell them it's none of their business and also transphobic to ask. If they see you and clock you as being actually female, force them to bring it up and then shame then for questioning your identity based on how much you pass. If they ask what your deadname was, rake them over the coals. If they ask if you were born female, say yes because all transwomen are born female. Genitals and chromosomes have nothing to do with gender identity and are a spectrum anyway, so totally irrelevant - penises and clits are basically the same thing, right? And SRS produces results that are indistinguishable from cis genitals, right?

Jim just needs to learn not to care about the sub numbers and view count anymore. No other far left video maker on breadtube does, they all rely on patreon and twitter support.

Or just... make your own food. Sushi especially is waaaay cheaper that way, and it's not that hard.

(Even without having been anywhere in Asia, I don't care for American "Chinese" food. So I make it.)

She assumed the administrative responsibilities and allowed TB to focus on the content creation.

I didn't say she was good at these administrative responsibilities, but she certainly took over them. In a way, TB dying early has a silver lining: he's not the one who's getting fucked over by Genna's own incompetence.

Possibly, she stayed out of focus for most of TB's career. But considering she restructured a popular podcast simply because "I'm the founder's widow, it gets to be whatever I want"I reckon she might have been.

Admittedly I hadn't listened to the podcast for a while before TB died and I only checked out one or two episodes when they were released but I'll do what I can with what I remember. So originally under TB the podcast had different sections where they and the guest would talk about what they'd been playing, then what news there was that seemed interesting, other general gaming topics, and then they'd cap it off by letting everyone know what was being released that week and also commenting on which upcoming titles they were looking forward to.

Under Genna, most of the sections were gone and it became more free form, but also for general topics (I think there was one episode where they spent an hour talking about the Venom movie, which had just come out) and in her first episode after the memorial video, Genna admitted she took out the upcoming titles section simply because she didn't find it interesting. I think Jesse or Dodger tweeted out asking for former guests to please come back because they were having trouble getting anyone to come on now that TB was dead. And to make matters worse, without telling anyone on TB's channel, she moved the podcast to her own, which had fewer subs and traffic, so unless you were searching up the podcast, you wouldn't know it was on another channel and probably assumed it had been cancelled, which it was eventually.

If you go look at the episodes post TB, their views go downward pretty bad. And it wasn't just because he was gone, the episodes with Jesse and Dodger running the show without him did fine before he died.

Genna should have left Jesse and/or Dodger in charge of the podcast, gotten a third guest, and just upped their pay accordingly. These two weren't TB in terms of presentation, but they were familiar with the format, they had good relations with the previous guests, and they could keep it going just fine. IIRC Genna did some voice-acting work in the past, and I think she thought she could transition to hosting duties just fine but... no. Just no. She could work as a guest, but she couldn't make that podcast work on her own.
 
They could have just dragged Crendor and Sam into it, run the same format and had a solid show. Apparently it was TB's wish that Genna should take over the show and run it how she wants after he was gone even though she thought it should end with him (I can't find the source at the moment, sorry).

It was pretty baffling when TB announced that Genna was to going to inherit the channel and the podcast after he passed. I knew immediately it wasn't going to work because of how often TB would tard wrangle Jesse and Dodgsr, but I respected it at the time because it was pretty clear he wasn't going to survive. Genna did at least try, but the idea of a SO taking over something as personal as a YouTube channel is an extremely optimistic plan. I don't extactly blame her for not wanting to continue in her late husband's shadow, but if she did dump her kid at Grandma's house, that's pretty fucked up.

I think he was worried about her and the kid, wanting to make sure they had some income, but I'm pretty sure Jesse and Dodger would have been cool with Genna getting a cut of the cash, or just paying her to still handle the business side of things. They probably weren't going to fire her the second he was dead.

I get wanting to ensure your loved ones are taken care of after you're gone but he really should have worked out a way to handle the transition better, like maybe brought her on more often. Or alternatively, once she realised this wasn't working, she should have handed control back to Jesse and Dodger and gone back to the background. Instead she cancelled the podcast over a year ago abruptly.
