Sadly this isn’t the first time I’ve seen something like this - white people claiming to be aboriginal here is the exact same as the woke white Americans who claim native blood.

I don’t know exactly how the laws work here but historically there were attempts to “breed out” the indigenous population by forcing those of mixed ancestry to assimilate fully into the white population, leading to people today who might have an indigenous grandparent or great-grandparent but look completely white. So a lot of the kids I went to school with, who were registered as having indigenous background and so were entitled to various programs and scholarships, were white by all appearances but probably had some form of proof of ancestry so they could be entered in the system. It always, to me, seemed like a stretch to count the pale blonde kids as such.

Of course, it’s just as likely this troon is lying out his arse to get special treatment and is 100% anglo, but due to those historical reasons people in Australia are a lot more likely to believe you if you claim aboriginal ancestry than the common American “my great grandma was a Cherokee princess” story. “Trans woman of colour” is the ultimate victim in the minds of the intersectional cult, and if the “of colour” part is as easy to achieve as making up a distant relative, you bet the woke cultists will be right there.

He got called out and black listed for claiming to be native, but nobody had any problem with him claiming to be a woman.

I’ll never understand why it seems to be okay in American to put on woman-face but not okay to put on black-face or whatever face Native people call it.

There is literally no difference between trans gender and trans race.
the controversy surrounding "identity fraud" is starting to pick up a little in Canada because it appeals to the Woke media and I am excited for it. I am hoping that people openly objecting to "identity fraud" might peak to another form of it.
But it’s Canada, so I doubt it.

The fact that there were no tribal rolls or anything with official status in Australia has made it even easier for any rando to tick the "Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander" box, especially when there's cash attached. I remember they found Sri Lankans claiming aboriginal dole.

I want to note here that for various reasons including a period in history where the govt actively tried to dilute the Aboriginal gene pool to white, "Aboriginality" has been self-ID since forever. All you literally do is tick a couple checkboxes.

The only reason Aborigines don't have a population majority is because the parallel services for them are uniformly shit, so you are literally better off on the white man's dole vs the Aboriginal dole.

In recent years, they have adopted a lot of the woke bullshit language as well. They style themselves as First Nations (amazing claim for a bunch of peoples that have not even reached bronze age), they are trying to phase out "Aborigine" and use "Indigenous", terms like "half-caste" is frowned upon.

Naturally, it is overtaken by the troon lobby as well, and as is usual in these cases, men can enter women only birthing pools but women are not allowed to play the didgeridoo. Woke!
