I'm starting to think Leonard Shaner doesn't actually have a lawyer or at least if he does he's been consulting with lawyer on crap that doesn't have anything to do with his upcoming hearing. In the words of @Schuylkill Valley , "It's interesting".

I've yet to find myself in legal trouble, owed to my ability to not try to derail trains, so I'm not exactly sure what a good ballpark is on the range of money he'd have to spend to get a lawyer... But I can't really imagine Len has all that much money lying around for a lawyer. I imagine him spending money frivolously, as do most manchildren, and spending thousands of dollars on a lawyer seems incredibly unlikely, especially since if he really wants an attorney he would've probably just accepted a public defender. Considering how limited Lenny's scope of knowledge is, I really doubt he'd be aware in the first place that public defenders are overworked and tend to produce sub-optimal results by comparison to hiring your own attorney for it.

Especially considering Len's so ignorant about his legal proceedings that he doesn't even know why he was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment. I imagine if he had any sort of actual lawyer, they'd have brought up the question of, "Why were you charged three separate times for reckless endangerment?" Any lawyer would've got to that, and Len would've been told were that the case.

Maybe Steve didn't tell you he was married since you've shown in the past your first response to seeing a husband and wife together is to call the wife a slut.
