I feel like even a major ebay junkie would run out of random trash to blow that kind of income on pretty quickly, but what do I know...

Anyway, took me several days to read this whole thread; used to watch Quinley before he turned into a loaf, can you guess what turned me off of him for good?
Just waiting for him to blame mental illness for his shitty behavior, it's only a matter of time since he's already using it for pity points. I roll my eyes so hard, I see stars every time he uses the term "mild panic attack"- there's no such thing, your mind and body think you're going to die when it comes to that.

Ok, to my knowledge no copies of A Critique of Citizen Kane exist but I found this screencaps from when the video existed documenting the exchanges between two true Internet intellectuals.

Quinton could have easily jumped on this by mocking MauLer for his thin-skinned response and chimping out over being slightly mocked. But this is Quinton we're talking about, so he melted from the drama and thought it would go away by ignoring it.
 
Hold on a sec, how long has Quinton been planning his iCarly retrospective? Saltydkdan, another youtuber Quinton is acquainted with and was in his sadsack collab, made a shitpost-y video two months back on speedrunning an old iCarly game. It went over decently well within that circle of youtube, helped that Fredrick Knudsen narrated it. Wonder if Quinton is trying to piggyback on that success.

I doubt he had any other plan besides just doing it. The iCarly retrospective was something Q used to convince his fanbase to inflate his subcount since mid October and he plans on making several videos. Chances are that it only premieres until March, which would match Q's expected return since he technically is on vacation.

Salty's vids were reasonably entertaining and integrated their components (cameos, info, goofy intrusion) seamlessly. I think it is too optimistic to think Q can pull that out even if he actively tries. He might start his video saying "Hey guys, if you get me to 500k I will do a McDonald's mukbang or some other shit"

This will heal the wounds of a broken ego.

Just two adults having an intellectual debate on the merits of a Disney film in YouTube comments while respectfully criticising each other’s treatises and the work of a fellow cinema critic, one Jenny Nicholson.

Funnily enough, Jenny Nicholson might be the one with the best content and the thickest skin. At the very least, she does not take herself more seriously than is warranted, takes less than five hours to get out all her points, and, to the best of my knowledge, is yet to show up in the comment chain to complain about the gall of people mocking her work.

I want to bring further attention to something here.
Lindsay Ellis gave Quinton the PhilosophyTube treatment. With two exceptions, she deleted every tweet or thread Q replied to.
He had Nerd City on his corner up until the Mumkey saga.
He has an extensive track record of simping on Taxxon.

Eh, if you peruse Jenny's thread you would see a chimp out in a blue moon over critics but it is a rare occurrence to be sure.
