Games and games journalism was a mistake. I had my money on a early onset heart attack taking him, but he’s going to do the ol’ troon an hero. Kinda sad.

Apparently to Jim being a woman means people have to automatically compliment you, hold doors open and basically worship the ground you walk on. Cuz that is what he thinks being a woman is. Its just "easier". He no longer has to feel compelled to lose weight. He's healthy at any size. People have to find him sexually attractive now, because to say otherwise is bigoted. It gets really obnoxious though when they start demanding these things of everyone around them, as if the rest of society is now magically required to validate them. It rubs you the wrong way because you should not feel forced to validate anyone. It should be something you naturally do by reflex. Like when you see a coworker or someone at the grocery store and off handedly comment "You look really pretty today", or "love your shoes", etc. When you feel a social obligation to say something that is not true, you plant a seed of resentment. He's already addressed this too in the video. Apparently we are all very double bad people for pointing this out.

IMO, this gender stuff should not matter. If I meet someone on the street and my brain reflexively goes to Ma'am or Sir, then there is no issue. I am not gonna hold inquisitions to examine everyones genitals to determine biology. If someone is trans and they actually worked at it to the point of passing, then whatever. You were clearly serious about it and more importantly nobody knows or CARES that you are trans because they just think you are your presented gender. But that is not what Troons like Jim want. Oh no, they need that validation. They need the ass pats. EVERYONE needs to know they are Gender Special. And that means they can never pass. In fact, passing probably works against what they want. Those sweet sweet social credit points.

Anyway, that is enough arm chair psychology for the day.

Jim will always refuse to understand this point simply because it will invalidate his political views. By which I mean I think he does understand that he is by and large making a living through capitalism, but it wouldn't be conducive to his narrative to acknowledge it.

Has he ever even addressed it?

State developed video games would probably exist under socialism, but Jim could end up in legal trouble if he insulted a developer who was the minister's son.

Okay, I'm a fan of Jim's content, and am still a fan of Jim's content, or Stephanie or whatever the fuck - it's not like there's even a single video game reviewer that hasn't gotten death threats over disagreements these days. I've kind of just tolerated his politics as increasingly liberal and otherwise ignored his flirtation with the whole gender thing. You guys all know he had an abusive childhood and plenty of issues, yada yada yada...

But this...this was just...unnecessary. I've never been comfortable with what you Kiwis apparently call 'trooning' but this is the first time its happened to someone I have any investment in and frankly, he's fucking off his tits. Only four years ago he was perfectly comfortable as an 'unconventional' fat man.

It's like Eddie Izzard pointedly insisting for years he was a transvestite - but now suddenly he's using female pronouns. I just don't understand the point of people doing any of this. I'm never sure if I'm the bigot or it's just something I can't understand.
