Lot to unpack as they say with fatty ding dongs comments about my ancient and complex people
1)The idea that the British are somehow inherantly nastyer than other cultures is patently absurd. at worst we're cold and unaffectionate but we're choir boys compared to a lot of the world which Jim would be in deep shit for saying the same about.
2) if Jim thinks that's a genocide he's a fucking idiot, at very worst it's institutional pogrom more honestly from a pro-trans perspective it's a nasty piece of obstructive leglislation by cat lady terfs for cat lady terfs, to fuck with trans teens. it's hard to comment on how few people give a shit about transgender in the uk one way or the other. I can't imagine how self-contained jims social circle is to think this.
3) What actually bothers me is this is the point where jim gets snooty. The country has been spiraling into Hell since around 2010 as the infrastructure collapses and jobs drain out. Where the fuck was that high horse when the food banks opened, our...sorry my people starved and suicide rates climbed jim?
4)Jim doesnt seem to be aware his lived experiance isnt universal, it's also worth noting his cushy us life is due to his increased affluence rather than any inherant nobility in americans. It also speaks depths that Jim never considers systematic poverty might the cause of his woes, Believe it or not but people at the bottom of the ladder tend to be quite nasty and desperate. He paid for a shrink the US didnt give him one and all his hispter middle class sjw buddies don't represent the equivelant upbringing in the states.
5) It's pretty funny that Jim's caught in the Bob chipman 'gas the mayo ghouls because people were mean to me when I was young' mindset despite his pretensions of Socialism or anarchism.
