They might be more open about it than before, but it's been unspoken policy for years across many industries to bar anyone who expresses a perceived conservative thought. A few like JK Rowling and Chris Pratt have enough "fuck you" money and fame to resist, but the vast majority do not and are terrified of ever speaking up even well outside of the workplace. Four years ago, Palmer Luckey, the founder of Oculus VR, was fired from Facebook for anonymously spending his own time and money to fund this anti-Hillary billboard in Pittsburgh with plans for more besides by fundraising from Reddit's The Donald community:

Won't make this my diary entry but I have a friend who believes full on revolution is the only way to take care of our society, as well as that capitalism is the issue. They love Marx, BLM, etc. I told them before that the elites seem to know what they're doing and direct revolution can't and won't happen. I'd tell them pressure will force gradual change. They loved yesterday.

You can spot the neolibs and clout chasers by their reactions to this. Anyone who says they're anti establishment BUT hate this will forever become the capitalist selling che guevara shirts for 80 dollars, made in china with polyester.

Especially funny since I saw someone I know post in support of the riots this summer but condemnation over this. How many black people lost their livelihoods or lives over this? 0? I was also kinda hoping someone would bring a BLM flag and hang it over the podium, imagine the results when the Senators came back.

I wonder how long they're gonna do the "at least he's not trump" card during his administration if he does something that fucks us up. Especially since we'll move on by than and people, mainly the politically neutral become aware of thr bias.

Now that Trump's gone, does that mean they'll make good on their promise to make politics boring again?
