I actually never liked Home Movies. I watched it for Coach Mcgirk. Metalocalypse was a way better show.
 

Doug appears in the Screen Junkies Movie Fight podcast thing. He comes off as pretty awkward. Maybe it's just me.

I'm pretty sure you don't just have Americans getting squeamish by a 12 year old anime character having an orgasm, not when you have people from other countries finding that disgusting. The Vausch and Snorgatch guys sound like pedophiles since they imply an animated underaged character having an orgasm is nothing wrong. Sure it may be comedy but that wouldn't excuse the fact that some comedy can fall flat and no one laughs at it.

I will never understand why pedophiles go out into the open to start arguing for child pornography or to make diddling kids legal, they know how unacceptable that is and they know how much people hate pedophiles. The fact that NAMBLA was ever a thing baffles me to this day.

Pretty sure they don't understand why it's unacceptable or why people hate it.

Most people like this would only defend the cartoon versions because they don't see it as being the same as real people, because if it's just a cartoon, well, how is it real?

Fucking Christ, I forgot about the CA commentators community. They're the absolute fucking worst.

I'll be charitable and say there are ways to do stories about child sexuality that have actual justification for existing if only to inform people how fucked up Afghanis are. But this shit?

I don't care what excuses are given. The only reason this thing exists is so creepy dudes can masturbate to little girls. This is Sick Nick territory. Where's the Miller Test when you need it?
 
The CA commenters are absolutely awful. If I remember correctly even some of the producers complained about them in their own videos. Doug Walker even made a few jokes about his commenters complaining about the slight color change of his fucking wall.
 
I remember there used to be this one CA commenter who was really prolific. He would make dumb comments on all of the Nostalgia Critic's earlier videos, and each time that would lead to a storm of people making fun of him, calling him an idiot, and talking about how he makes videos that rip off the Nostalgia Critic's work.

In which case, yes, these guys are pedophiles, they'd just never admit it.

As for commentors, the only two I've seen that never fail to be cringey are a guy with a turkey for his icon and someone like 'Zoeyposthuman' on Nash's CA videos. I go to Nash's own website now (his newest videos aren't always on there so sometimes I go to CA for the new stuff) and I've seen both of those commentors before on CA. They and many others are the equivalent of a Tumblrina Kengle or Connor, respectively, but you could say that about nearly anyone who posts on there.

Oh shit, you're talking about Tirkly, I remember that fucker all the way back when TGWTG was still around. My first encounter with him was when he was bitching in the comments about how Doug was "celebrating not being the Nostalgia Critic anymore" and people began flaming him for it, because believe it or not, people were excited about Demo Reel at the time rather than dreading it. I wasn't able to unsee him from the comments since.
