Yeah, Archie is the one that bungled the paperwork(there are rumors that Ken may have had something to do with it), Sega is the one that just wanted it to go away because they were pissed it actually got as far as it did in the first place.

And then if i remember it well he tried suing Sega or another company over the shitty game he had been butthurt in the first place or something like that?
 
Ken tried suing Bioware/EA and Sega over Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood because he claimed the Dark Brotherhood was a rip off of his Dark Legion, they do admittedly have some similarities. It got dismissed like twice and he couldn't pursue it more because of the Archie lawsuit so the Statute of Limitations kicked in, so he can't launch another lawsuit even if he wanted to unless the Dark Legion is used again.

I think that had to do with his editor at the time, Scott Fulop, who also tried to sue Archie (at the advice of Penders no less) and lost

Oh right, I had forgotten about Scott, but who knows really? I've heard everything from incompetent interns, fires, to outright theft regarding the contracts.

I would consider Scott suing the official death knell for Archie Sonic though since I'm pretty that's what finally convinced Sega to ditch Archie if just stop dealing with really asinine lawsuits

well that and archie was quickly becoming a shell of it's former self. the archie that published the original sonic comics up till the mid 2010s is a far cry from the archie of today.

The poor idiot is still trying to relive his glory days of the Sonic comics instead of just drawing something that actually looks good. You can't use echidnas anymore Ken, let it go.

My God, this cover is what I'll expect to see as an intentionally awful troll to mock incompetent Photoshop collages. It is such an eye sore of mismatching assets and poor, garish color composition that confirm my belief that Ken is incapable of self criticism.

Implying that if he were drawing non-Sonic related content it'll be any better. A competent artist will turn out good work regardless of the theme. Even the best stuff that Penders has drawn were his Star Trek: TNG comic pages which are highly suspect because he heavily "referenced" stills from the TV show's cast.

RIP the Lara-su Chronicles Wiki, cut down in their prime for not been a "valid community" hopefully they will make there own wiki to show others the glory of Ken Pender's magnum opus!
