Regarding his surge in popularity, I started looking into him when the cheating accusations first went out and his initial big surge in popularity came from when he found the seed for Pewdiepie's minecraft world back when Pewdiepie made Minecraft cool again. Oh and "he" didn't find it, but he definitely passed it off as his efforts, it was really a big autistic collaborative effort and he stole a lot of the credit. He later implied in the DarkViper interview that that may be why the autistic Minecraft speedrun mods hate him.

He's also in cahoots with other popular youtubers, notably whatever the MrBeast network of pals would be called. I am not that keen on modern youtube e-celebs or anything so I don't understand if people form these modern networks, but I find MrBeast another channel to be strangely popular with insane (actually insane) rise in subscribers for the content he puts out. I think there's more to these people than just gaming the algorithm and I'm suspicious of these guys working together to artificially boost each other or something, thus further increasing their individual profits as well as the profits overall.
This is nothing but speculation from someone not super in touch with these people and it could just be kids being kids subscribing to extra dumb shit now, but I just thought it weird when I noticed they were all "friends" and all strangely popular.

This is mostly unrelated, I'm just a mega fag who actually watches actual Minecraft speedruns in his free time, and I'm not talking the edited videos of the completed runs. I'm the degenerate sitting in the 13 hour long streams watching reset after reset.

Anyway I took a look at the document the speedrun mods put out when they first released it and there is a fairly large flaw in it that people who don't give a fuck about speedruns seem to have glossed over. Their sample size wasn't an even sample of his runs, they selected his 5 best runs from a period of about 2 weeks. When you stream Minecraft speedruns its not uncommon to have hundreds of runs in a single night all completed to various levels. I think it goes without saying if you grab 5 out of hundreds its not hard to find anomaly's

Now I dont watch dreams runs so I don't really have a dog in this fight, I just don't wanna see bullshit math/statistics being used as the next weapon of cancel culture

I'm about the farthest thing from a scientist but I remember being taught something in 7th grade biology about having to be able to repeat data for it it be reliable but what the fuck do I know right

They explain why they chose those runs in the Geosquare video and in the PDF they put out. They did those runs because those were the only 1.16 runs available to them to analyze. It just so happens that his RNG was exceptional in each run, which is explained by Karl and Geosquare and that's where the digging really began when people realized this.

The Archived mirror of his dox (page 4 of this thread) has quite a lot of references to evidence etc etc. It might be a good idea for those links themselves to be mirrored. Quite a lot of links in twitlongers, google docs etc end up lost to time through sources being removed or websites expiring basically anything. Other than that I’d suggest mirroring Dreams impending response + anymore leaks or convo with teamrooted.

It's 100% grooming, just not sexual grooming. The human mind simply isn't wired to handle parasocial relationships, especially not the absolute bombardment of virtual one sided interaction. Kids are especially vulnerable to this. As dumb as it sounds, a kid or teenager lacks the capacity to understand that the youtuber with 10 million subs they spend hours watching every week doesn't have the same connection to them, or even knows they exist. In most cases, it stops there, but it's become increasingly common for the modern crop of ~10 million sub channels to exploit this, seemingly intentionally.
