Thats all well and good. Ive been a blood angels fan for more then a decade at this point. What I'm really saying is that the blood angels have all these aspects to them that arent really brought up. Like most people dont even know that if a blood angel is alive in black rage mode long enough, they turn into a giant bat monster. Like its always a pretty surface look at their duality. Sure them finally adding the black sanguinor to the mix is something, I just hope we get something else that isnt a fucking tyranid fight or Mephiston being goku.
What the fuck? There’s Blood Angel vargheists (those are what Warhammer vampires turn into if they don’t drink blood)? What is the source? It sounds too much like the Wulfen what with marines turning into monsters. Though that could explain why Death Company marines are put into stasis in the Tower of the Lost.

Blood quest was their first appearance. Last they were mentioned, they were let out of the tower to dab on leviathan.

Mephiston loses it in Darkness in the Blood, is knocked out by Dante, gets Primarisfied, basically absorbs the black rage version sanguinor and messes up some nids before the events in the novel City of Light, which is the third part in his own series of stories.

Anyone here use typhus corruption before? I hear that its supposed to give you a great texture for rust, but I dont think im doing it right.

Anybody know how a fight between a carnifex and a space marine would go?
Space Marine would defeat it effortlessly. All Tyranids are just Duck Hunt ducks for Space Marines, praise Cruddace. The Tyranids are a race of Keystone Cops who couldn't assimilate a modern day Wal-Mart.

I spent decades as a Tyranid fan but eventually you have to realize the game hates you and play AoS instead.

A real answer would be that it depends on the marine and loadout. A battleline imperial fist intercessor or tactical marine with his bolt rifle would stand no chance at beating it. Large tyranids are resistant to lasguns and bolter rounds. You need plasma, melta, flamers, or the Death watch acid rounds if youre doing ranged combat. Chapters that come from planets that have natural mega fauna on it (like the newly minted Dark Krakens) would obviously be more at home fighting a Carnifex. Specialized space marines from the Fire support companies would be your go to if your picking from the group of rank and file. Chapters like the salamanders are also an obvious pick for obvious reasons.

Melee, if you look to chapters like the Blood Angels, space wolves, or the black templars. I would say that most members of their veterans squads or honor guard probably stand a good chance. The dreadnaught would be the natural opponent in taking on a canrifex though.

On the carnifex side however, you have to remember that if its not connected through the synapse, its just a big dumb angry alien. When it is connected to synapse, youre never fighting JUST a carnifex. There could even be a instance where the hive mind even assumes direct control, which would change the fight entirely(the hive mind is shown to be able to do this during the devastation of Baal). There are also difference depending on what hive fleet the carnifex hails from. There is also ole' One Eye.

Obviously this doesnt take into account the table top or plot armor. But if we are actually weighing things as presented, I think this is a good answer.

Side note on the 1st company comment. I dont think terminator or gravis armor would be a good idea either. Carnifex's and hive tyrants have been described as being deceptively speedy. The hit to agility would be a deal breaker. Im mostly thinking of VV or any other fast veteran squad. So rather then a member of the deathwing, I would choose a member of the ravenwing on his bike if I were to use the Dark angels as an example.

Post your results and I could tell you what’s going on. These are the result I’ve had so you can compare

I just put my brush in the pot and went for it and in the top picture I did some areas with troll slayer orange. Watch the GW vide as well if you haven’t already.

Made a desert/shrub camo cloak with the paints I had available. I think it would have been better with some browns, but I think it came out alright.

They haven't confirmed who's going to write that book in the Siege of Terra series yet, but it's possible. BL lined up six of their big guns to write the series: John French, Dan Abnett, Guy Haley, Gav Thorpe, ADB, and Chris Wraight. The first four were written by French, Haley, Thorpe, and Abnett, and they confirmed the fifth book was also being written by French in the BL preview they did last weekend, so that leaves ADB and Wraight without a book yet, plus someone else who gets to write a second book. Personally I'd prefer Abnett for the big showdown, but we'll have to wait and see.
Did Graham McNeil piss in someone's cheerios? Or is he just less BL focused career wise?

I know he had the Sons of the Selenar book but he was in on the ground floor of the HH.

I know he had the Sons of the Selenar book but he was in ok the ground floor of the HH.
Beats me. I did think it was a bit strange that he wasn't included in the lineup, given that he's one of BL's elder statesmen at this point. If I had to guess, it's probably because he's a senior writer for League of Legends now and doesn't have the time to write an entire novel. He's done both of the novellas so far (the Selenar one and Fury of Magnus), so that may have been the deal they cut with him: "okay, you're too busy to write a whole novel, but you can do these novellas so you're not completely left out."

>League of legends writer

it’s a free paycheck and he can write lore without fear of making a small mistake and then getting memed on for years. Since let’s face it does the league community even have lorefags?

Does anyone here actually play the specialist games. I starting to get fucking sick of them getting so much shit. Like I understand they supposedly sell well, but I never see anyone fucking playing these game, even before 'rona. I have seen a couple matches of blood bowl and warcry and I have seen necromunda ONCE. But fuck I have never seen titanicus, imperialis, or blackstone fortress ever be played in a shop. But yet they all still get all this shit, while the Horus Heresy players get fucking nothing.

Lol no. I have once heard Blood Bowl recommended to a newcomer in a hobby shop (not an actual GW store) and that was because he liked football. Even then, it was said in half jest, so I don't know if he was serious. I never understood these games, and I don't I ever will. The Blackstone and Necromunda models at least have cool minis for kitbashes and such, but at no point have I ever scene Titanicus or Imperialis played be people who aren't GW shills. Seriously, if Age of Shit-the-bed-mar is the the Red headed step child of GW minis, these 3rd rate sets are like the home alone kid, if the family didn't even bother coming back to get him.

People love AoS now tho, its pretty popular. Hence why they are getting so much cool shit recently.

I play Necromunda and have since the mid 90s, it puts the grim into grim dark and it's nice to have a setting without superhuman mary-sues shitting up the place.

I am trying to find a necromunda group... I have a decent Goliath gang with original and newer models. I was going to use the older ones as juves. I also have some old and new arbites, I also have 20 car Saar models, 10 of the new orlock and some older orlock, and a bunch of chaos cultists (new ones, some from 40k, some I made from bits).
