Maybe after drinking his 4th glass of gin while reading the farms he tried to get up and slipped over and hit his head. Then he dreamed of the begs of Christmas past while spasming on the floor.

phil already had a redemption arc, it was when he waited in the shadows for years to dunk on pro jared's public divorce

so many lolcows respected content creators liked his tweet, it brought a lot of wheelchairs attention to his streams, he had to dedicate a stream to debunk anything you found when you googled his name

Here he answer the question "what character would you like to be in a holyday movie?" and he replied he would be the Grinch or Scrooge because he would like a redemption story, where you have a change of hearth and go from being the villain to the hero.

I think this shows us that Phil deep down wants to have a redemption arc, he wants to stop being the lolcow punching bag of the internet that everyone hates and stays away from and go from that to being liked by everyone, that's why he was so obsessed with being redeemed with that ProJared tweet, he wants to be redeemed so bad that he looks for any opportunity to say everyone opinion of him changed positively, that's why he also says "I have matured and changed so much over the years". He also had a freudian slip and said that Scrooge became a philanthropist after "on twitch" and corrected himself to "a twitch" , this tells me he wants to be redeemed after twitch.

Also remember that HE CRIED AT THE END OF SCROOGE WITH LEANNA so he feels a deep connection to the redemption story.

Phil I'm not saying this to make a joke but you are literally irredeemable, you can't have a story arc when you change and go from lolcow to being loved by everyone if at no point you admit you are in the wrong and change, you are too much of a psychopath autistic narcissist to ever have the self reflection required for redemption.

Lets take the Scrooge example, the ghost of christmas past shows Phil how he told a beggar to fuck off when the beggar asked him for a few pennies on christmas and Phil replies " That's not what happened on my screen!! The ghost cheated, I tried to throw the beggar a few pennes pennies and my move didn't come out because of dementia induced brain lag ACK ACK ACK stupid idiot". You are literally incapable of self reflection, you never admitted any wrong doing in your life without giving an excuse of how it was not your fault,when you say things like "I have made plenty of mistakes" you never mention which ones and if you do you give excuses on how you dindu nuffin wrong, there is no redemption possible for you Phil, you are incapable of change, you stopped growing intellectually and emotionally at 13.

You literally have one of the easiest life in the world, all you need to redeem yourself is to stop being an autistic toxic narcissist and you could do that next stream but you won't since you did nothing wrong. This is another example of Phil wanting all the praise without doing any effort, he wants to stop being the lolcow that everyone hates, laughs and avoids but doesn't want to change.

The only realistic way that occurs to me that will kinda make you redeem yourself would be to leave everything you own to charity and kill yourself, I'm not saying that in a "lol kys" meme way , its just that realistically you will never admit you are wrong so I find the idea of you necking yourself on stream after a 8 hour rant about how detractors ruined your third bankruptcy more likely that admitting any wrong doing, that's why I say you will kinda redeem yourself by eating a bullet and leaving everything to the homeless, you will not understand that everything you did was a "TIHYDP life" but at least you would do something good for someone else for once.

The hilarious part is that he thought he had a redemption story when he dunked on ProJared and everyone was retweeting his tweet and liking it. Remember how he gloated when this happened, and how this was proof people were coming to see that DSP wasn't a bad guy? Yeah, that's fucking hilarious and sad.
 
Indeed. If he had any kind of soul, that "broken clock being right twice a day" moment would have ended his existence. But he doesn't, and is stupid enough to not see that for what it was anyway.

Of course, this is also the guy who, after taking time to think about how best to lie about what happened during the "swatting", asserted that no one thought of him in a bad light until stuff like TIHYDP came around. Which he knows is absolute bullshit, so maybe he did recognize that his ProJared tweet wasn't going to work but got pissed about it anyway because that's just what he does.

Imagine knowing, at your core, your heart of hearts, that you're Phil. The mind would have to build a fortress of delusion to protect itself from complete annihilation each and every day. This isn't just redemption, this is survival.
 
A thing that I found telling about the ProJared thing is him thinking that he redeemed himself by joining in on the mob kicking another man while he's down.
In his head an easy road to redemption wasn't a 9 hour apology stream, it wasn't an effort to improve his streams, it wasn't even something small like not lean-in snorting and burping into the mic anymore, it was gloating about another man's misfortune.

All it amounted to (all it ever amounts to when he thinks he's got the moral high ground) was a bullshit shtreem where he told his life's story for the millionth time for fluff content and then shouted DEBUNKED at the list of shit he's done bad/wrong. He did it with projared, he did it when the guys who ran EVO kinda got thrown under the bus, he even kinda did it with the etika thing (but that was just his depreshun).

I'd legitimately like to see the running list he has of people he would love to dunk on if they slip up. There would probably be some no-brainer names on there, like tevin (again), some of the bigger players that were in the SoK (if Freddy got actually DOXXXXXXXed and we learned that he got busted with a Thai lady-boy, or something... Man, field day for everyone), and probably our lord and savior Jersh if the farms went down. I'd also probably bet there's some certain Kiwis he has scrawled down for saying a bunch of mean things to hurt his feelers and busted him for whaling out on spicy sweaty dudes.
 
One thing I noticed that I haven't seen mentioned yet:

When Phil was prattling off about social media one of his complaints had to do with the fickle, volatile nature of twitter. He said something like: "you could have a viral tweet with tens of thousands of likes but it won't amount to anything. Something else will go viral and people will move on and forget about the last thing." So basically he was salty that his epic, viral dunk on ProJared amounted to nothing when he had predicted it was going to be a huge positive thing for his stream and attract a bunch of new viewers. The fact that he thought that in the first place shows how out of touch with reality he is and the fact that he's still thinks he should have gotten something from it shows how resentful and entitled he is.

And that's exactly how Phil fucks himself out of being redeemed (among other things): if he doesn't have one bad trait getting in the way, another one will. If he's not being lazy, he's still stupid. If he's not being stupid, he's still entitled. If he's not being entitled, he hates everyone but himself. And so on.

Phil takes the smallest thing and it turns it into a Herculean task, but the real such task in his life would be to fix all of his awful issues simultaneously.
