Let me remind everyone in the immediate aftermath of the sex tape, not even Gator was buying the hacked narrative. The local authorities are at least somewhat serious about pursuing these charges, but as many have learned time and time again, the legal system tends towards laziness or corruption. Do they really want to deal with another prisoner in their jails while with COVID going around over some teenager tier drama, even if he was on parole?
The one thing I can see fucking over Ralph is a local news outlet turning this into a sensational news story: "Alt-Right Superstar Allegedly Abused and Releases Revenge Porn of Pregnant Teen Mother." Then the court be motivated to throw the book at him, instead of giving the usual yawning judge ruling.
All of this could have been avoided if Ralph had verified his JCeaser187 pornhub account and released it there.

It makes a poor impression on the judge. It looks like you don't give a fuck about the crime you just allegedly committed, or even worse, that you're proud of it. It shouldn't count against you, but it does. If you want to get leniency from the court, your best bet is to be humble and act like you're sorry as fuck.

Maybe. The whole "fighting hate" thing is a great grift, a new take on the old tradition of hunting witches. But I have to wonder if in these trying times "ARE THERE ALT-RIGHT NAZIS NEXT DOOR LOOKING TO MOLEST YOUR CHILDREN IN THE NAME OF HILTER?" will have the same impact as they did a few years ago.
But you have the kind of baby momma drama that built Maury Povich's fame and fortune mixed in, and suddenly the "fighting hate" is just an excuse for day time TV tier entertainment for normies who normally would not debase themselves to indulge in such mindless gossip (or admit to it at least).
Richmond is small by city standards. It's not like you would be trying to get in touch with someone at the NYT or WaPo. Richmond strikes me as the kind of city that would cover residential zoning disputes. Those kind of local outlets are starved for content and stories to run.

I'm really interested to see if these are new charges or just a parole violation. If Ralph gets a good lawyer he will walk unless the strangle incident is on tape. There is literally no way to make the case for the prosecutor unless faith testifies, and the through of having to endorse her as the star witness in a case just seems like a waste of time. She's changed her story too many times about shit to not get eviscerated on the stand, and has a history of false accusations. Ralph is going to say he had permission to post thatl, and they're going to have to prove he didn't, which is gonna be pretty fucking dicifult. If May testifies on ralphs behalf and says the strangling is fake the prosecutor is even more fucked.
Something to keep in mind is that a lot of the shit we consider to be evidence is not likely to be admitted in court. Shit like discord and Twitter is going to be hard to authenticate because they will have to get records from the company directly, which is going to be a lot of resources for a case like this. Videos where you can clearly identify people will come in, but shit in writing is not so likely. Text messages are a middle ground because phone companies tend to cooperate with the cops.

I don't know the first thing about law in my country, let alone in the US. However if you don't mind I have a question: when the revenge porn was published Faith was in a mental hospital, so at the very least at the moment of publishing it she couldn't consent to it. Do you think this in any way relevant?
