you're all gonna go right back to playing call of duty and bitching about the fact that you'll get in trouble for calling someone nigger over the coms, don't kid yourselves

I swear when you realize who you brought to office on the back of refusing to vote repub in georgia, I will mine that fucking salt just as much as right now
That's the ultimate fallacy of the system isn't it? None of us are in desperate enough straits to actually risk our lives and quality of life, such as it is, for the high risk of losing everything. Sooner or later, we'll crawl back to the side that we feel is fucking us the least, despite the fact that both are pegging us with the same bad dragon dildo.

No, it means everything is back to where it was three days ago, before everyone thought the existence of the universe depended completely on the SCOTUS' ruling on the Hail Mary pass from Texas. People have the memory of a fucking goldfish so they lost track of absolutely everything else that was happening and threw every single chip they could find on this case that cropped up completely out of the clear blue, and that's precisely why I'm so sick of everyone ripping their hair out.

Several other things were happening, several other paths are laid out, several other options are still available, and yet everyone locked their eyes on this brand new case and packed every ounce of faith in it even though it was arguably one of the least-likely to succeed, even if it was one of the most interesting. If people can quit acting like hyper-emotional, glue-huffing window-lickers for five seconds, maybe they can remember what was happening three fucking days ago.
If Trump wins this election through the state legislatures by nuking the electoral college, I will be buy a T&H sticker just to give you a Siemper Fi. Or hell if he wins, I will give you one.

Now everyone gather round and rate agree/like like the sheep you are before forgetting what the man just said 2 minutes later.

I think it's just the general exhaustion of the ongoing cycle. Additionally, the smugposters make it unbearable. Still, always glad to have your input.

I really want to slap these people. Do they have any idea what a civil war is? Does no one under the age of 30 know history and what happened during Sherman's March to the Sea? The effects of that are still with us today. They have no idea what it's like to have to hide any valuables and go out looking poor af because the hungry homeless have become feral criminals and will kill you just to steal so they can live another day. They're homeless because a faction bombed the shit out of their town and are insane after watching family die or turned into hamburger meat. And you only go out when its absolutely necessary because soldiers are on edge and have orders to shoot to kill any insurgents. Some are also insane because they joined up after nearly starving to dead when their home blew up with their loved ones in it. Males have to stay hidden because conscription by either side(s). Only old or women who deliberately look hideous go out for food and even they're taking huge chances.

Imagine killing because you have to. If you don't, you die. Some people are mentally prepared for that but many, especially in our soft comfy society, aren't. It literally breaks some folks. It's nowhere as neat as in the movies or video games. It can take a long time for some people to die, even with their intestines hanging out. And its not quiet. Oh and kiss hot water goodbye, no one has the money for it or the resources to heat it up. I've seen desperate people in a country with an active civil war going on. It was a Mad Max; The Road Warrior landscape in some parts because the government ceded it to insurgents to concentrate on winning battles in areas they could. That's what happens, you're political leaders abandon you when the going gets tough.

And the other side should get a good slap too for goading the losers. Someone, somewhere, has been so damaged by the coof restrictions, unemployment, looming eviction/foreclosure, car repo and family issues that they'll snap. Multiple it by a few million and you have the insurrection you claim you don't want. "B-B-But Biden won!" isn't going to stop them.
Not even just killing. Imagine sitting in a trench for months on end, in shitty muddy dirty conditions, eating shit rations, trying to do everything you can to not go insane from boredom. Then suddenly a mortar smacks into your trench or you have to charge a enemy territory or they charge you, and suddenly your shitting yourself as you have to fight to survive as your friends die screaming around you. That's a big reason a lot of soldiers get PTSD, not just from killing, but the sheer insanity and hellish conditions of wars.
And I don't think people truly want a war, just that they think it's the only option left.

Honestly Yugoslavia, Ukraine, and Syria should have been proof enough of how quickly a society can unravel and the permanent damage that remains in the land and its people, but I guess people have short memories and think it can't happen to them, right?

Fundamentally America isn't there yet, but it mentally took a step closer to that direction, while the pandemic, and riots have made people feel less physically secure.

Also, it's not going to be trenches, it'll likely be urban warfare. The moment things get bad, expect the rich to instantly jet out for their overseas vacation houses, and the middle class to fly elsewhere/drive to Canada. The freedom of movement Americans have will allow them to escape the violence, but only if they get out soon enough.

No, people just assume it can't happen here in America, forgetting that, yes, it can happen. And it's happening in front of our very eyes.

Places like Detroit and Gary Indiana will be fine. Pre war? Post war? No one could tell the difference

Many parts of America already look like bombed out war zones

This is a part of why it's best to get yourself out of the system as well as those you care about - find loopholes, achieve self-reliance, and reap the benefits without the restrictions of a modern society.

The time for people to meaningfully oppose the globohomo and preserve "america" (whatever that means) was more than half a century ago. Now you should just be concentrating on your own good life rather than on the idea of some "radical revolution" which you and I are both aware could be snuffed out by an autonomous drone if you really got ballsy enough.

Or you could move to some other country, rescind your citizenship, and try to avoid the cyberpunk dystopia there. I'ma just have my own cool shit

When you're right, you're right... It's back to square one. It just seems like time is not on our side though given the myriad of globalist-fueled demoralization going on in our lives lately, and people are gonna get pushed over the edge for sure by this decision into doing braindead accelerationist things. This is a huge test of faith, but my faith personally has gotten so small it's microscopic.

I guess all I can do is continue to wait like everyone else for the next front to open up. Trump has yet to say anything and we're about 2 hours into this SCOTUS strikedown, so there's no fat lady singing (yet.)

Do you mind outlining the other options?

Very well said.

I can't blame people for being scared, but the hysteria we see tonight is absurd. Yes, times are tough, and yes, this has the potential to become very, very ugly, but falling into panic and disarray won't help anything.

Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Work on yourself. Agonizing over what some rich bastards five hundred miles away do won't help yourself. Go to the gym, read history, find God, reach out to your friends, do something constructive with your life. Don't sit here on this thread for hours on end getting into slapfights about how fucked we all are.

Where there's life, there's hope. The night is always darkest before the dawn.

But if you had to, would you wanna go Runner or be a Fixer?
