Pure conjecture: I know that when a woman is pregnant that the hormonal changes cause her saliva to become more acidic, and that in turn causes increased dental problems/tooth decay. Now I don’t know which hormone causes this or if that particular hormone is even taken by trans women, but it could be the cause if what you are noticing is a deeper trend.

I googled this and found stuff from dentists about trans people but nothing specifically mentioning estrogen being linked to teeth decay, although of course new and horrifying side effects of hormones pop up constantly. I would agree with previous posters it’s more likely to be general poor self care, though. Same with the greasy hair.

My guess would be too much soda. Gamers (at least in my circles) have that problem too. Drinking a six pack or more a day does horrible things to your teeth.

Exept material goods aren’t that envied anymore because most people outside of the very poor have easy access to most goods. While you might be little envious that someone has enough money to have all those extra luxury items times hundred it’s not hard to get one or twenty cute things yourself. Sure those aren’t any of the nice brands but more than likely people around you won’t notice or care. Stuff of any style isn’t rare and you can order those things from all over the world, very cheaply if you know where to look. To most people getting stuff isn’t an issue and so isn’t source of large enough envy to make the owner stand out as better and a real member of higher class. Of course material luxury possessions still matters but when large portion of population are running out storage rather than enough money to get more items it’s just not that cool or desirable. Especially not when you try stand out as high class out of upper class individuals.
But being more moral is still great way to feel and be socially seen as the better. Especially when standing for those that are really “marginalized” that only other actually moral individuals care about. The fact that they only care about those issues because they don’t have any real problems in their own lives and helping those that have actual devastating issues makes you feel bad, take hard work, might get you accused having a savior complex and those issues don’t have media sexy answers are irrelevant. Plus they can actually understand and emphasize being scared of social rejection and bullying where as starving, dangerous violence or really running out of money without anyone there help are foreign issues that happen to others or if they happen to you it’s an isolated incident or you have done something really wrong to get to that point. Pretty much the same principle as vegans trying to one up each others by getting rid of anything that might have some animal byproduct in some point while ignoring making healthy and tasty vegetables options more accessible to less wealthy people so they would be more willing to cut meat eating down or getting money to study plant based medical options.
