Well, she's right about 'achievements'. I mean, writing the novel equivalent of Dante's journey through hell.

"...with Daddy's money" helpfully excluded from the end there.

Considering how her father has now claimed co-authorship of her books and directorship of her movie, on top of the endless praise and financial drain, does anyone think their relationship will get even more uncomfortable?

I think this is what makes me the most excited about the inevitable movie "premier". Gloria is going into this thinking it's all about her. She's the wunderkind, she did all the work, and she deserves all the praise. It's her time to shine, but dad wants a piece of the action. After all, he's the one who made her. It's his money he's invested. So this night is just as much about him as it is about her.

Gloria is not going to take that bullshit. I can't wait to see what happens.

I remember seeing other pictures of that event, but I had no idea this one existed. I wonder how many people ended up stopping by her booth. I looked up the con and it's really small, I mean small enough to be held in a library, so I can imagine there wasn't a whole lot else to look at. However, at, I assume, $30 a book, I don't think she would have sold very many.

I'm going to guess she's not (or if she is, she hasn't made any mention of it to my knowledge). If anything, it was probably a day out for a bit of publicity and an excuse to wear a costume. Given its size and low registration fee, a booth wouldn't cost much at all, if anything. Not to mention the con's aimed at teens, which is supposed to be her intended demographic. Though I am tempted, for sheer curiosity's sake, to ask her about it.
I sperged a bit about artist booths and costs of larger cons, but it's largely irrelevant so I'm just going to say that she'd have to shell out for an expensive exhibitor booth if she wanted to show off at a larger con, as artist alley competition would likely leave her rejected.

As a side project, I considered doing a review of her shitty Saga, just to see what interest it would garner. So, I decided to ask her permission, so i sent her a request on her website, asking very politely if it was okay for me to use her material in such an endeavor. There was no clever words used, just plain and simple English.. This is what I got back.

I see English is not a pre-requisite for serving on her team.

Three more questions/remarks:

  1. Did they really hire an orchestra and choir to produce the soundtrack? How much money does Gerry Tesch have?? Or is this music digital?
  2. The battle segments (with the knights and archers) have obviously been ripped from some other movie. Does anyone know which one?
  3. The end (with the souls screaming in hell and that devil character kissing/eating his pet snake) looks like it was co-directed by Jack T. Chick.

Oh my shit! I accidentally aborted a baby playing that clip too close to a pregnant woman. This is amazing!

I was tempted to write back

'No, I don't want to give you anything, I just want your permission to mock your shitty book into oblivion.'

Then again they might have recruited me onto their movie team. Which would have been hilarious.

You don't need permission to review things, though. It's protected speech.

Heh, not according to Team Tesch I'm afraid. They pulled a lot of youtube videos made criticising the book that used their material. Unfortunately, while filing a counter copyright claim is possible, I don't fancy fighting a legal battle over Fair Use over a rubbish book. It's bullshit, but youtube's system doesn't recognise what Fair Use is, it's automated.
