The key word is fantasy. They don't want it in real life. IMO it's based on the whole romance novel lit lite trash novels (I admit I have read them.) The hero captures the female and takes her away, there's some dubcon sex and they end up falling in love. The reality is much different and the majority of women don't want the real thing. Again IMO.

I think You're missing the forest for the tree's here, maybe I'm wrong but they're lamenting the lack of guiding principles people have in todays world. Most people don't actually have a core set of principles that guides them in life they just have a vague notion of what they think is morally right without any way to explain it, or simply support social causes they think will benefit them(even if that simply means not being attacked by the mob). This is what has led to the constant goal post moving that occurs in the social justice movement, and the logical inconsistencies in the way they attack or support groups/individuals/causes. Looking at it objectively if you support abortion in the states\west under the notion of "my body my choice" you shouldn't have a problem with the abortion of female fetuses' in another part of the world even if you think the reason for doing so is dumb. Now of course there is room for nuance, and there are times when you may have to bend your principles, but these should be very rare instance's. A form of odd hedonism has overtaken our society in this way, those who wish to be perceived either inwardly or outwardly as morally righteous glob onto the next moral outrage without much thought about how consistent it is with their other moral crusades (both the left and right do this). They get immense pleasure from projecting an image of themselves on social media "fighting" for what's "right". You see this manifest in the trans movement with white liberals running all over themselves to cater to these freak shows in an effort not to be labeled a "transphobe". In their mad rush to avoid a label they trample over their past crusades' (womens rights,LGB rights, etc.....) in minor but telling ways, ways that let you know that their principles aren't a guiding force in life but simply an image they project.

I believe you both are missing the point. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the issue isn't the abortion itself, it's the fact that once a mother in China discovers her unborn child to be female, the chances of abortion are exponentially higher, if not guaranteed. This is likely due to the two-child policy. After all, a woman cannot lead a family. You need a son to continue the bloodline. This is why there are a lack of women in China, and why they opt to kidnap women from other countries.

It's about the statistics, not the act.

This will result in self fixing situation as having too few females will make their value going up but it’s long and painful road where many men will be left alone and there has been alot kidnapping and child marriages of girls. I would like avoid that pain if possible and that has nothing to do with whatever I find abortion acceptable.

I can count the number of romance novels I've read that did not have a rape scene on one hand. But yeah it's just a fantasy.
