There's only 3 things you need to look out for with drops, pure bladestone(keep your luck at 7 and only 7 and it should take an hour or two at most) and two drops from lizards only which are pure darkmoon stone and pure moonlight stone(you need to read up how to reset lizard spawns).

Kill yourself after every boss in the nexus, do not revive yourself in body form in any of the stages ever until you're done with white world tendency events for that stage. You also have to get the ring of friendship while pure white.

Be on the lookout for rings, the original game has less rings than the remake. Do the quest where you kill all the NPCs for the final ring right before the last boss so you're not penalized. This requires you not to talk to the forlorn knight who sits at the nexus for the whole playthrough, when you want your soul tendency to be black you kill him first, then 2-3 non-essential merchants later in Stonefang Tunnels or the swamps and you're at pure black tendency and it allows you to do the final ring quest where you kill all the NPCs in the nexus.

Ideal starting class tends to be Royalty by majority opinion. Getting overpowered early requires the use of the stockpile Thomas dupe glitch(it's very easy only requires you talking to two merchants)

Oney played Dark Souls, the most mechanically bad souls game. He hated DS2 because his old tactics didn't work. He hardly played Bloodborne and he completely ditched dark souls 3.
But he's qualified to criticize all of them.
He did pretty good on his solo Dark Souls run and with DD & Julian, why the hell is he such a loser and a negative nancy during this playthrough. (And yes I used negative Nancy because he's just that)

He seems to always dislike the remakes of classic games he enjoyed.

He's gotten pretty positive on it overall, the main things he has problems with are the changes in art style and music.

Which pretty much is what everyone else doesn't like, but he sure as fuck praised it for how the levels looked
Just keep him out of the hub and he won't have much to complain until they get to the tower knight
 
I'm digging this Adventures of Chris game. It's so obviously part of some DeviantArt inflation fetish thing but it's oddly wholesome and positive, and shockingly competent for what it is.

Can't wait to see how this mythical adventure ends.
 
A game that prides itself as being "hard, difficult to master" while also being a drab, tedious grind is worthy of the title "shit game for retards"

The same can be said for non-games such as visual novels, walking sims and the newest excrement tumblr/discord can't shut up about.

I really have to ask; how is a game that you can complete in 2-3 hours, even if you're not a speedrunner, tedious or grindy. You seem to have some issues with that "shit game for retards" comment. Let's have a private discussion about this if you like.
I'm actually curious as a player who really enjoys grinding to make my character that much more stronger.

While I agree and can't blame Oney at all, he's only a rung above Arin in terms of being shit at games. I can at least give him a pass because hes actually funny, he doesn't blame the game all the time, and he can chalk it up to not paying attention because he was making commentary. A moment where that last one is apparent is during the Marble It Up!/Marble Blast Ultra series, where in one of the levels he has to hop on a series of platforms and because hes talking to DD and Julian, he doesn't realize there's arrows showing him where to go.

He mentions not being able to do commentary and play games often if they keep hitting a wall like left 4 dead 2, but yeah he's funny enough for me to not care as much since I just keep them on the background
Now give Tomar the controller and he just crashes and burns, it's pretty funny

Only time in a Souls game I've had to grind was when I kept faceplanting against Orphan of Kos. Nothing forces you to play like an autist if you don't want to be the absolute min-maxingest.

They're boring to watch because the point of playing them is feeling yourself improve and overcome shit, as well as exploring and mapping out the levels; I think they almost without fail are boring to watch unless it's someone playing a ridiculous-ass mod that randomizes everything.

It's a really flawed game, the controls are way too much for something like Oneyplays guys. (The tutorials hardly go through any of them and they'll probably skip them).
And (my personal opinion) watching someone let's play a 50h+ RPG is goddamn torture. I doubt the boys will play much more than the first act for shekels and even that might be too hard for them seeing their FPS skills.
