I am pretty sure that it's not possible to fuck up your voice by taking "too much T too fast", and many of the FTMs that I know who ended up with frog voice were taking the prescribed amount at regularly scheduled intervals. It sort of just happens whether you like it or not, such as in the case of Milo Stewart, who took testosterone erratically and still ended up with frog voice. So no, the answer to your question is that there really is no way to prevent it, but voice training can help smooth out the inevitable change.

The biggest problem associated with taking too much testosterone (e.g. taking too high of a dose or dosing too often) is aromatization, which happens in both men and women, and ends up causing a completely different problem. If you happen to inject too much synthetic testosterone and/or anabolic steroids, be it male or female, the excess will be aromatized into estradiol and cause a spike in estrogen levels to occur. Any person undergoing hormone therapy needs to have their hormone levels checked regularly to mitigate adverse effects, but of course, a lot of trans people forego this process entirely because they believe trans-HRT is a harmless venture. They hold similar beliefs about HRT as they do about SRS, in that injecting synthetic hormones into your ass is totally cool and normal and carries no risks whatsoever, so they completely gloss over informed consent procedures.

We were educated about the negative side effects of using steroids-- probably because school athletes tried to use them in order to enhance performance in the 80s.
Now, all of a sudden, it seems that the public at large has forgotten about the risks of steroids... or that the media has created a huge blackout in terms of discussing the issue.
Same thing for anorexia, which often creates pubertal suppression in females... this leads to a loss of normal hormones which creates uterine atrophy, osteoporosis, damage to brain development, etc. in girls who suffer from this. The suppression of puberty alone seems to trigger a host of problems in young women who lose too much weight too fast-- you don't even need to be at an "anorexic weight" for this to happen. Young women at a healthy weight in military boot camp will often stop having their periods, and then develop stress fractures while in training.
Don't even get me started on the experiences women have with hormonal birth control. Many women will swear that certain varieties cause weight gain, high blood pressure, bizarre breakthrough bleeding, breast problems. Same women would get dismissed by medical professionals and told "it's all in yer head, sweetie!"

Yet here we are, and the media wants to feed the public the idea that "synthetic hormones for trannies are necessary and harmless!".

I think that a lot of troons are deeply self-absorbed. It's hard to care about the health of others when you spend every waking moment obsessively ruminating on your true self, wether you pass, and how you look.

Caitlyn Jenner is a very wealthy troon. Could he use his millions to set up a shelter for the homeless transwomen that we're always hearing about being murdered? Sure he could. What does he do instead? Buy clothes and talk about himself.

THAT is what is happening in places like the UK, Australia, etc. Some states in the US allow gender bender ideology taught in the schools, and for kids to access hormones without parental consent. I also care if my tax dollars are being drained by medicaid programs that facilitate "validating" perverts via expensive surgeries and hormone treatments.
