People have been giving Cornette a hard time recently, I don't see why. Sure he missed the mark on Steen, but most promoters would. Vince alone would never have signed him. But then if Vince did, he would be "Kevin Steamengine" and come to the ring dressed like a train conductor going WOOO WOOO. His finishing maneuver would be a shoulder tackle and he would get buttfucked by John Cena the first time they met.

It's not just because of Steen that Cornette has caught flack. It's because Cornette being anti the young bucks, Joe, Punk, modern day booking and a bunch more.

Cornette is a guy who has his way of viewing wrestling, and that's fine. But people are allowed to disagree. The ROH fanbase hates him for almost killing the company (despite saving it).

There's not that much distance between Kentucky and Virginia, right? Maybe there's a family relation...

Tonight on national TV: Jushin Thunder Liger faces the party peacock Dalton Castle.

Thank you, ROH.

I watched Summerslam '89 the other day, which had Dusty locking up with the Honky-Tonk Man.

Dusty cut a typical, fantastic Dusty Rhodes promo before the match:

True legend of the business. Didn't always make the smartest booking decisions, but pretty much every guy who ever worked with him has at least one great Dusty story. RIP, baby.

My God, I saw this a few minutes ago. Never liked him as a booker, but good God damn could he entertain. He was like a sassy fat black woman trapped in a sassy fat white man's body. Some guys could just cut great promos. Him, Savage, Flair, all good promos. Lawler, too. Yes Lawler! Go back and watch some of the Memphis stuff.

Lawler was a great heel. I remember when I was 10 I wanted Bret Hart to literally murder him at SummerSlam 1993.

I was too young to remember Dusty as a wrestler but I loved him as a commentator. "He's got thum plundah and he a clubbin him wid it!"

LOL TONY SCHAIVONE'S MUSTACHE

Rest in piece Dusty. You left quite the legacy in the wrestling industry.
