How strictly is the "2 children per family" rule enforced?
If a couple has a 3rd child, are they punished or is the child simply placed under someone else's care?
Do you know of any cases where the government learned of a woman who already has 2 children becoming pregnant and being forced to abort?

@andabeeryy if the government is extremely picky on how much fanservice that comes into China, don't they monitor what comes out of it?

Man, don't take seriously a comment with a meme inside.
But anyway, time to get serious about a specific thing i always thinked about China:
@andabeeryy ; how is the China reception of western media representing them? Like Mulan is a failure of both sides, i talk about Avatar from Nickelodeon, Sleeping Dogs, Shenmue and Jade Empire.
EDIT: I thought more examples.
Yes,Hua Mulan's evaluation in China is not high,It seems that the West seldom distinguishes Chinese and Japanese cultures. They are similar, but absolutely not the same。But this is also related to the fact that there are not many cultural works exported by China,For example, when referring to Wukong, most foreigners first think of 《dragon balls》 rather than 《journey to the West》。
@andabeeryy

I vaguely remember some users implying that they had some ties to China and spoke Mandarin (or at least understood it perfectly). I'm not sure if they are in fact locals that VPNd their way there but you are definitely not the first that posted here.

With that said, how is the atmosphere out in China with all the floods, plagues and governmental fuckery this year?

Also (and that's just me checking if I'm wrong), do wumao get paid for snitching on dudes just posting on Western forums or is this reserved to dissenters?
1.The flood has brought great losses to China, but now it has passed. In the place where I live, people have to wear masks in bus, but schools and companies are operating normally. Now the infected people are mainly imported from Xinjiang and abroad。Under the propaganda of the media, people think that they are living very well, much better than abroad。All the discordant voices are blocked。
2.Some of them seem to be prison inmates, and some are affiliated with specialized companies。In China, it's easy to make money by patriotism, so some losers will do it。Dissidents are not in a good position in China, and those with great influence are likely to be persecuted。
@andabeeryy are you still under lockdown? what are your favorite games (besides touhou)? have you travelled outside of china before?
1.In the early days of the outbreak, people were forced to stay at home, but now they are free to travel within the country, as long as they wear masks。
2.I don't play games very often,I used to like to play king's glory (A MoBa game on mobile phone),I used to like minecraft and plant vs zombies also,Some Japanese visual fiction games are also very in line with my interest,Ever17 is the best I've ever played。
3.Never,The farthest places I have been to are Guizhou and Chengdu (a Citie that recently closed the U.S. Embassy)。

Thanks for answering our questions. It's nice encountering a Chinese person online who isn't hostile towards Americans. Americans and Chinese people can be horrible to each other online, but I think that we're more similar than we are different.

Politics aside, do you like living in China? If you could move to a different country, would you?

Also, is there a reason webcomics and web novels are so popular in China compared to other countries? It surprised me learning that the TV shows 微微一笑很倾城 and 陈情令 were based on web novels. (Both of those shows are pretty popular with Westerners that like Asian drama). The US doesn't really have such a concept.

Do you feel fear? Are you afraid of the people in power and what they could do to you for stepping out of line?

@andabeeryy what does it takes to become successful in China? Like starting your own business or just finding a decent job?

If @Starkiller88UnitedOwl9 is any indication, it's probably an hive of Maoist spergs.
Get good marks in the college entrance examination and get into a good university,Pass the examination of Civil servants are also considered a good way to gain fame and wealth, so the competition is fierce every year。If you have a strong network of relationships, success can be easy。
I am a woman looking for a husband. Would you marry me for a green card to the United States?
Emmm,that's funny。
You genuinely seem like a nice person and I hope you don't suffer any consequences for doing this.

My question: Are virgin boy eggs an actual "thing" in your country?
I haven't heard of that,All I know is tongzidan - boil an egg with boy's urine。
@andabeeryy Why does China feel so threatened by the prospect of an independent Taiwan?
The Chinese were educated since childhood that the two places share the same origin,Qin Shihuang made the Chinese people have a very persistent thought of unification。

Why is my Chinese girlfriends genitals censored?

Academics please respond
I'm sorry I didn't understand your meaning。
How's the food? None of its actually like getting takeout over here right?
Different provinces have different dishes,It depends on your taste,But there are also many people who eat KFC and order takeout。
I used to have a Yuyuko avatar
I also like her,Kagiyama Hina is kawayi,too。
How many hours do you sleep during the night? I read an article once that Chinese kids go to school for like 8 hours and then work for 14 hours and get like 2 hours of sleep a night and that's part of the reason you're all insane.
My school is going to school at 7:00 and ends at 21:00。
The average sleep time of students was 6-7 hours。
Some schools don't even have weekends and only one day to take break a month。Chinese students have to go to cram schools to improve their grades When they were little Because the best way to change your destiny in China is to take exams。

Chongqing sucks. You are a traitor to GLORIOUS PROVINCE OF SICHUAN!
SICHUAN STRONK!
Sorry, but Chongqing has been a municipality since I was born,A Shanghainese would never say he was from Jiangsu,A Tianjin man would not say that he came from Hebei。

I haven't heard of that,All I know is tongzidan - boil an egg with boy's urine。

I'm sorry I didn't understand your meaning。
They're asking is being transgender a thing, in China and why an woman's privates are censored in porn from most Asian countries.

On the topic of schooling, I have heard that plagiarism is a rather big issue in China. People copy from books and other essays and see no problem with it. Have you seen this happen in your school?

I ask because there was a Chinese lady in an English class I used to attend who used to copy text from webpages and present it to the teacher. When he asked if it was her own writing, she would say "yes!" when it was obvious that it wasn't.

She didn't seem to understand the concept of trying to express thoughts in her own words.

Censored genitals in porn is more of a Japanese thing, isn't it? Although maybe China does it too now to imitate them. For the Japs, it's because the US military men who wrote their constitution specified no genitals under its obscenity laws, and being Japs they're too conformist to change it.

@andabeeryy Since you mentioned it, explain what the fuck is up with the egg boiled in little boy's urine.

What do you think is the Chinese people's greatest virtue?
What do you think your people's greatest flaw is?
What's the best Chinese insult?

I've often got the impression the Chinese tend to view the world in a china-centric way in a simular mindet to the how the Americans view the world. Is this accurate?

I enjoy your attempts in writing in English, reminds me when I use to proofread and correct papers for in college.
Whats your view on Taiwan? You think China will ever try to force into its domain?

1: Do you guys eat Fortune Cookies or is that just one of those American Chinese Food things?
2: Have you ever worked in a sweatshop before? If so what was it like?
3: What do you think about people who get things like 我喜欢阴茎 or 杀死犹太人 tattooed onto their arm, thinking it means something deep like "I am a powerful warrior". (Because that happens way too often here).
4: Does China recognize Israel as a legitimate state?

Yo, what do you think of the protests in Hong Kong?
On the mainland, showing support for them may come at a price. A college girl was expelled from school for saying "support HK" on twitter,So forgive me for not being able to show some attitude directly, but at least, I respect them for very much。
How much of traditional culture is left?

Stuff like old buildings, traditional arts, and the like?
In the past, in order to develop economy or other reasons, a large number of ancient buildings were destroyed. Now most of the ancient buildings are used as tourist attractions. You feel more commercial atmosphere here than traditional culture。The school seems to pay more attention to culture. We will learn a lot of ancient Chinese articles and recite ancient poems,we will learn calligraphy and Chinese painting in art class。However,Young people are not interested in these things. Only the older generation will. They are very concerned about the loss of cultural customs and crafts。
In my head I'm reading this post in the voice of Charles Ng.
Are You talking about that serial killer?
Why are chinese women obsessed with not drinking water or brushing their teeth?
I don't know......Not paying attention to health is one thing. Maybe there are physical reasons? I'm not sure。

So, how often does the Chinese fail biology class? As in, never knew where urine comes from by the age of 13?
I replied to that post。

This may also need to be divided into regions, and the northern regions are generally more strict,Having more than one child will be fined,In the past, it was more exaggerated to drown the baby directly,In Shandong Province of China, there was a famous "one hundred days without children" incident,During that time, pregnant women were immediately forced to abort。However, it seems that there are more families with two children in the south. I have a elder brother, but my family has not been fined,Because my parents seldom let me go out when I was young. If I met an acquaintance, they would say it was the child of a relative's family。Now in the face of the future aging population, China has begun to advocate the birth of two children, but three children will still be fined。

Tiktok is an example 。 Overseas, to cater for more viewers, the content above is almost not censored, but in China, it is called "douyin", with totally different contents,And Chinese people can't use tiktok overseas。But it seems that games exported abroad will still be self censored, such as Genshin。

There are a lot of bad things to say at home, but As a Chinese, I am used to the domestic atmosphere and lifestyle。If I can, I would prefer to move to Japan, because it is Asian and similar to many places in China. It is difficult for western countries to integrate。
Domestic online novels have been developing very fast, and it seems to be saturated today. The specific reason may be that there are a large number of Internet users and a large enough market,Some foreigners pursue Chinese online writing only because they think it's novel, but in fact, the routine of many Internet articles has been rotten to the point where it can no longer be vulgar,There are similarities between Chinese online culture and Japanese animation culture. Light novels are also popular in Japan, and a large number of animations are adapted from light novels。

Do you feel fear? Are you afraid of the people in power and what they could do to you for stepping out of line?
A lot of convictions and other cases for speech are really frightening, so I will be cautious both online and in reality。

They're asking is being transgender a thing, in China and why an woman's privates are censored in porn from most Asian countries.
I have met a lot of MTFs on the Internet. Most of them are in a difficult situation because of the conservative ideas of many parents。
In China, the pornographic industry is absolutely illegal, so those are Japanese pornographic films. However, Chinese people often watch pirated Japanese pornographic films, so you can see a large number of Chinese subtitles or movies with Chinese advertisements at the beginning。

It is true that plagiarism often happens, but now colleges and universities begin to pay attention to it and strictly check the duplicate of papers。

A traditional dish from Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province, because traditional Chinese medicine believes that children's urine is nutritious to the human body. Of course, not everyone can accept this kind of disgusting food。
Why is pork belly so damn good?
I don't know if you're talking about streaky pork or pork stomach。
In Chongqing hot pot, there is a more common ingredient is tripe (maodu)。
