Haha, you reading the series in four days paid off.

Yeah, I'm thinking Shion might not actually exist in this world, and this could all be Mion, but the next episode will have to confirm this. If so, perhaps in this world, Shion was strangled at birth, but Mion has always felt like she had a sister and maybe to balance out how stressful being the next head of the family is (because she was never meant to be the Mion we know, the younger twin was), she made an alter ego. Would be a neat twist.
The terminology for the two of them gets pretty confusing. Are you saying that Airsoft might not exist, or Stungun might not exist?

Airsoft might not exist. Unless due to them switching even their personalities as children, perhaps stungun might not actually exist.

So basically what you're saying is in this timeline
Shion, as the viewer/reader knows her, does not exist because Sonozaki family tradition. Mion found out about having a twin and is living a double life out of guilt or something.
That would be an interesting twist. The most obvious would just be to have Mion snap instead of Shion but that's too easy.

To clarify, I think:

Gambling Apocalypse: KAIJI has again re-scheduled their release for Omnibus Volume #2

Originally they said it was going to come out on December 1st, and now they actually changed it to November 24th – two days before Thanksgiving.

I’ll keep you posted on this if more news come out.

But yeah, although it's been stated that Mion has never killed, I'm honestly open to the idea of that being a once-in-a-lifetime possibility. Wouldn't be the best thing in the context of the world's rules unless something really big has changed, but if not even Rika knows why she's back in the loop, perhaps Mion going mad could surprise even her like how the ending of the previous arc went differently than expected. So even though Keiichi gave the doll to Mion to theoretically set off Massacre, it's still playing out like the Cotton-Drifting arc. Something's preventing it from going down Massacre, and I don't think Rina's been killed or else we would've seen it.
Hell yeah it did

I feel like a alter-ego path would be great tbh. I'd actually be intrigued to see how they pull it off, if true. But considering the weird pacing of this anime, I fear they may not execute the idea well.

Redo of a Healer has a PV out.
Not planning on watching it personally, but it'll probably be the center of attention for twitter.

I finally got around to watching Akudama Drive and its a lot of fun. It has a wacky cyberpunk aesthetic that doesn't take itself seriously.

People are doom posting about Crunchyroll being bought out by Sony, they believe it will be the death of anime apparently.
I think it's rather silly for people to go full doomer over it given that there are still other western companies releasing like Sentai, Discotek, rightstuf, etc. It'll be interesting to see what will happen to the streaming side of anime though as I'm wondering if they'll try to roll crunchyroll into Funi's garbage streaming service and what exactly is going to happen with crunchyrolls dealings with Sentai and Discotek.

I'm aware of who's saying it but given their insider knowledge his points might be worth considering.

I read a bit of the manga a while back.

nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope

I have low standards, but skeevy mind-control revenge stuff will send me sprinting for the exit.

I don't think the medium can die in the west at this point. Even though it's still a fairly niche form of entertainment here it's been going more and more mainstream recently. It's definitely going to stick around, and since piracy is still a backbone of the western market, these companies merging won't have too large of an effect on those of us in that boat.

It won't become that mainstream however, anime is very niche and weird, too weird for many western audiences right now.

Though with how bad western entertainment has gotten I won't be shocked if more people get into it.

kids love anime. most of the cartoons are anime.

It is this kind of stuff makes it really hard to support some U.S. anime licensing companies when their staff act like this and been acting like this for decades. I know very far from everyone is like this at Discotek but Justin Sevakis has been a huge bitch like this for a long time, even in Internet time.

HURR Space Adventure Cobra SUCKS HURR HURR. I've never seen the U.S. anime old guard get mad at COBRA of all things for being disgusting offensive trash before.

Sevakis is a lowly bitch and him being in charge just should not be and despite working in a field that deals with Japanese animation his kind are always masks off when it comes to Japan.

Consider his review of Mad Bull 34, where he insulted Kazuo Koike, said that he was obviously a big dummy who got his ideas on what it was like in New York City because the dumb Jap probably thought American action films reflected reality, dropping feculent little gems like this in there (some of which were edited out)

Plus that time he asked Yoshiyuki Tomino numerous questions about "Garzey's Wing" and was proud of being disrespectful and going out of his way to make the man uncomfortable, being a total arrogant cunt to Tomino for laughs over his not liking one anime he did, and pushing that to the Western fandom as boldly challenging that TOTAL HACK TOMINO.

Anime has such a strong pirating culture from back in the day there is no way it will die in the west.

I'm kinda surprised people still use Crunchyroll
If they police the torrents with copyright trolls like they do for HBO's own shows the public torrents will die at least, but sites that link to direct downloads will replace them.
