I remember reading about the 50-cent Army back in my college days. I'm kinda surprised it took so long for this thread to appear.
 
I'm glad we've finally got a thread watching the wumaos. I wonder what drama we'll uncover by watching the actions of Wumaos and their utter stupidity. Of course, Winnie the Pooh may send over a couple of shills while we laugh at these CCP mongoloids. It's best to be vigilant for CCP shills in this thread because they'll try to ruin it.

Considering the more recent happening with the CCP banning the teaching of the native language of Mongolia, they'd be some pretty good scapegoats. As the wumaos would say "Xi is uniting the people of China" and definitely not committing a cultural genocide.

They could use the africans but the almighty Xi wouldn't want to harm any of those brand spanking new relations with any of those countries.

A vast majority of Germans today vehemently hate the Nazis and Germany in the 1930s to the degree that "avoiding Nazism" is one of their primary voting policies; you can predict German voting patterns based on their perceptions of a party being authoritarian, and this is a major component of the Eternal Merkel staying in charge despite rapid policy changes (she is viewed as a 'soft power' leader). This aversion is the normal reaction to authoritarianism you would expect from a free people. When you lose your rights once, you are loath to lose them again. A portion of the Chinese do no react this way because they have still yet to attain status as truly free peoples, in a serial decay of empire after empire all the way to the modern CCP Dynasty. Taiwan is so militant exactly because they are what's left of Chinese who have tasted independence, and the difference in mindset is obvious. Overseas Chinese (mainlander expats) via the Bamboo Network enjoy decadent, barely earned Western lifestyles but despite the reality before them, and the fruits of that reality they pluck, have been taught that the locals are "backwards," and that exploiting them to feed the starving CCP engine with their repatriations is just and reasonable. They are, more than anyone else, modern Colonials.
I can't imagine anyone viewing "fond memories of tyrants" (i.e. Mao, Stalin, Hitler, and the rest of the 20th century soc brigade) as a normal, reasonable thing.

No, these are not "criticisms of China." All three of these examples are pro-CCP "criticisms" that are officially sanctioned and tow the Red Line.
Whining about "affirmative action" in the form of making schools and "education camps" in minority regions that have not been allowed to make their own schools is beneficial to the government, because it gens up the idea that "Chinese do not want affirmative action," even though this action is taking place because the CCP's reign is (allegedly) contingent on delivering the many promises of its Communist platform. Shirking these responsibilities for ethnic minorities while taking their land and resources is callous and very Western, but if the Chinese "want it"...
Whining about local administration inefficiency is a way to renege on the idea that "your party is local," a lot of people don't realize how modular and local Chinese governance is. By allowing the public to complain about having local administration and positing centralized CCP control as a better alternative, they justify seizure or restructuring to have more favored party members in charge, or reformatting regions with fewer local authorities, despite this breaking promises to outlying villages made decades ago. This sort of gerrymandering and exploitation is also very Western, but if the Chinese "want it"...
Whistleblowing is obviously unpopular with the CCP, they have a track record to prove it. If there's a perception of public vitriol towards whistleblowers, it makes it easier for the CCP to punish them, and harder for the many who agree with or believe the whistleblower to speak out. One-sided censorship is the theme of all three of these examples, but this one's more Russia's camp than the West in general.
It's hard for people to be negative of the state when they don't know what to be negative about (due to censoring those with legitimate complaints, but enabling those who have complaints convenient to the CCP). Silencing the people who are most affected, and most concerned are silenced- like ethnic minorities, municipal administrators who have to kowtow to the party, and "traitors" (lol) like Fang Fang who penned the Wuhan Diary and has been startlingly quiet ever since. Sure, Fang Fang was never properly disappeared, but I do wonder where Fang Bin is, ay? Did he exert the wrong type of criticism?

These are the sorts of statements you should have your eye out for when dealing with actual Wumao. They say shit like this all the time, entirely unintentionally, because they only go to the Western internet on brief, pay-per-hour jaunts, and have zero clue what Westerners actually do, how they live, what they think, or what they believe.

I'm sure that there are pro CCP contingents in overseas Chinese populations, and I'm sure shills for the mainland are keen to promote them and there views. Part of this thread is about gweilo who promote the CCP and its policies, so this doesn't really prove anything. Unless you think white westerners are majority pro CCP because of the Youtube channels shared on this thread.

The idea that the Taiwanese are brainwashed in comparison to mainlanders is pretty funny. Brainwashed by who? Unlike the mainland, Taiwan has free elections and a free press. Yes it was an anti-communist dictatorship under Chiang Kai Shek, but that was nearly half a century ago. Even the Kuomintang, which is now just another political party, and not even the current ruling party, has taken a softer approach with mainland China since 2008 to ease tensions.

Singapore is Westernised so they will accept Western narratives at the drop of a hat. Never mind that they gladly spend millions on overpriced Murican weapons, forced to send troops to the Middle East and what not. I have experience with them. I should know.

But it is not monolithic. With the rise of China, opinion is increasingly split in Singapore. The older generation who are more traditional and in touch with their roots and can understand Mandarin tend to be pro-China. Those who are more "Westernised" aren't.

You have to understand that many even in Malaysia and Singapore see the West in decline and Covid is in the nail in the coffin. They see a contrast in China which is undeniably on the rise even though we have people who just refuse to acknowledge this.

Malaysian Chinese are kind of split in terms their views on China. On the one hand, there are definitely people who vehemently support China. Those types tend to be from the older generations, but you'll find plenty of younger ones. They consume mostly Chinese oriented media and would usually only interact with other Chinese people. Some of them have less-than-favourable views of other races, in particular Malays who they perceives as lazy leeches who rely on the government to aid them in their lives or corrupt bureaucrats who abuse the race quota system to practice discrimination. On the other hand, you have the so-called "bananas". These people are usually Westernized, consuming Western media and follow trends in Western countries. These people, while still rather insulated within their own race, do mingle with other races more and perceive Malaysia as a multicultural country rather than a Malay country. They are either apathetic towards China or outright dislike them and view Hong KOng and Taiwan in a more favourable light.

If you want an example of a pro-China Malaysian Chinese, let me introduce you all to Hew Kuan Yau, or known as "Superman" Hew because he wears the superman logo while making political speeches. He is one of the most ardent supporters of the CCP you'll ever encounter. Some examples of his antics:

If you're wh*te you're treated like a novelty and you can get a qt chink gf with almost no effort, doubly so if you're above 5'8". Most foreigners move to Tier 1 and 2 cities which, frankly, are almost better than any city in the US apart from the fact that you obviously won't get very diverse food options (everywhere else especially the countryside is on par with 3rd world shitholes though). You won't be at risk of being sent to re-education camps or have your entire life dictated by your social credit score because you're a foreigner. Basically, you get all the benefits with almost none of the downside.

It depends if you cause enough trouble to be noticed. They would favour deportation over imprisoning a foreigner though.

This thread was bound to be full of terrible takes. Wumaos are dumb but it's important to note that while China is officially still run by commies, they're operating a state capitalist market economy, not literal 1950s Stalinism. Almost no one is starving anymore, which is why the CCP is actually popular, though it's much poorer than most of Europe or the USA. The provinces set minimum wages, too, they're just very, very low.

PPP per capita figures are a reasonable indicator. China's is $17,206, which is much lower than the USA's ($63,051, though of course much of this is corporate profits the average person doesn't see much of) but much higher than shit holes like Nigeria ($5,066). That wealth is very unevenly distributed, though.

If China was the paradise they make it out to be, then I wouldn't be writing this post in English. Their propaganda tactics are no different from Nazi Germany. According to wumao, if you don't support the Chinese Government, you hate Chinese heritage. The same goes for the Nazi government: say anything bad about them, and they'll try to imply you hate German heritage. It's preposterous. The CCP has no right to take credit for Chinese civilization, especially when they're the ones who destroyed so much of it. No amount of western imperialism could have done as much damage as they did to their own people. They're masters of historical revisionism.

A while ago, my CCP supporter told my dad on facebook that "Why do you have to betray your chinese heritage and pretend to be a white man?
So he replied "Why do you pretend to be a free man?"

I can't imagine how moronic you'd have to be to take footage of one single festival in one single well off area as proof that there is no persecution of minorities nor government suppression in an entire country. It's selective ignorance at its finest. I really don't believe who they're trying to fool here.
