Oh come on outrage from crazy SJWs is what made him famous and earned him millions of dollars in the first place. JP should be happy we live in a world where proclaiming obvious things like "There are only 2 genders" is somehow enough to become a public intellectual with a cult following.

He was a world-class reknowned scholar wellbefore that stance. It was speaking truth to power that initially got him noticed, and I'd say it was his exposing of the neomarxist left that made him famous. Peterson is brave, thoughtful, and well spoken.

Who gives a shit how many subs he had? He was an academic star at the pinnacle of his area of study ( psychology of totalitarianism)
It wouldn't matter if he never went on the internet at all.
 
Jordan Peterson was pretty irrelevant before the 2012-2018 culture war heated up. He really took off during the Trump era cause everyone was looking for a daddy, either in McGuinness, Trump or Metokur. I'd say you're both right to some extent, he's more of an occult figure even now than a star, which is best for him and his family tbh.

Whatever Peterson ever was is mostly gone now, and he should be allowed to rest and recover what he can.

Peterson grew up in the Rural Canadian North, an area that has some of the highest rates of drunk driving incidents in the entire first world, and wrote about his experiences growing up there extensively in 12 Rules for Life.

His description of the aimless youth drinking their life away, who when traveling would only recreate their miserable small town drinking aesthetics again in their tiny motel rooms rather than go out and interact with the city, was absolutely spot on.

Peterson had a deep and intimate understanding of addiction, and also spoke about his own struggles with alcohol in his youth, I believe specifically with liquor and cigarettes. He also did extensive studies on the effects of alcohol on those with a genetic predisposition towards alcoholism and their opioid-like responses to it.

He didn't need to fry his brain with Benzos to get in-depth insight into addiction.

His daughter is not attractive, though because of her health issues I don't fault her for it.

Mikhaila Peterson seems to embody all of her father's negative traits (exaggeration of health issues, unwarranted confidence in her own judgment on issues she doesn't know much about) but few of his positive ones. I mostly just wish she'd retreat from the spotlight. In comparison to JBP she's not that interesting.

I'm curious to see what "Beyond Order" is like.

There's something really funny about standards of beauty. Having an empty, psychotic glare, a sub-zero cold demeanor and and frigid inhability to smile candidly really do a number on a person's attractiveness.

Livin on the border of North Dakota and Minnesota I totally saw that. Drink to fill your belly. Drink to stay warm. Above all, drink cause there's nothing else to do. Any small town will be like that, but combine the most rural, least productive and coldest part of the panAmericas, you'll see some serious problems.

Given how long has elapsed since the coma, I think this is the best he's going to manage as far a speech goes. There's usually a very rapid improvement at first, and then the curve flattens, and he's been on the flats for a while. He may improve a little more, but if he was going to return to normal, he'd be a lot closer to it by now.

He's reading from a mostly-memorized script here--his pacing is too consistent, he speaks in monotone, and there are no filler words or vocalizations--but he's still struggling with it, having lapses into aphasia. And there's something very "off" about the look in his eyes (which has been there in all the recent still photos).

No more lecture tours for you, bucko. Which, frankly, is just as well; he might not have needed the benzos if he wasn't already so worn out by over a year of nonstop international touring.
