Funnily that user clearly thought they'd toed the line sufficiently by calling the Discord people nazis, but the others still found sufficient non-wokeness to probate them.
 
if troons are the reason my favorite game dies for a second time (i'm actually fucking level 38 now amazingly) then i'm officially screwing all optics

Bit of a random update:

the cogx server got ransomware'd the other day, and from everything found out, seems like the guy was paid to do it. They got caught out kind of bad and have to roll back a couple weeks.

I've been playing on it for the last couple months off and on now, and its been pretty fun.

Server should be back up either tonight or tomorrow, and they plan on doing a 5X xp for a week to make up for the rollback, so if anyone is on the fence about joining, might be a good time to check it out once they're back up.

I might actually give it a try. Everything in this thread is so fucking autistic and over the top, and I think I recall that Crit1kal or whatever his name is made a video on the controversy when it came out. Can't remember if he was defending or bashing the secret server.
Holy shit though, wonder who ransomed the /vg/ server? Trannies or Homecoming or another faction?
The fact that a 4chan server is considered the most stable really shows how fucked up the internet got, especially after troons invaded every little aspect of internet culture.

No one has any idea who paid to do it. They just released two more new powersets though in response and they look fucking amazing.

Random necro of this thread but I thought it was interesting as I follow the subreddit of MMORPGs myself.

recently, the controversial bully of the CoH community had a scandal letter drop on them from the streamers. For those that don’t know, all the content creators(for the most part) sorta disappeared a few months ago Involving City of heroes. All at once. Nobody really cared I believe but one of the streamers decided to write a letter today and publish it in a bunch of places. The Staff of HC are now trying to memoryhole this letter and refuse to discuss it. I am taking it upon myself to post it here with any other evidence I can archive. Its turning into a shitshow.

one of the owners of Homecoming is being accused of being a pedophile.

Edit: now 4chan jannies on /vm/ are deleting anyone posting the letter in the City of Heroes thread. This is getting weird.

Not sure. What bothers me is the staff of the CoH subreddit mods stated that the streamer group that wrote that letter must remove the “nazi slander against homecoming” and the pedophile accusations and the screenshots of the owner defending himself grooming a 16 year old and the letter can be reposted after that. Essentially the fucking mods are pulling a CCP style of revisionism of the letter. If that isnt proof enough some serious fuckery is afoot then I dont know what is.
