There's no reason on earth an obese person would need "extra" food to survive, barring some really unusual medical condition about which I have zero information. If anything, the obese have enough fat reserves to go far longer with no food at all than people of normal weight. Jen weighs... I think north of 570 lbs. & I believe she's 5'5". To maintain that weight, she has to eat a bit more than 5,100 calories per day - that's twice what an active man in good health would need. If she weighed 150 lbs. - not unreasonable at her height, she'd need a little less than 1,600 calories per day to maintain that weight. She's 420 lbs. heavier than that which means she's carrying 1,470,000 calories stored as fat. Or... 980 days worth of calories.
Long story short - as long as she has enough water to drink & takes vitamins & minerals, she could go 2.5+ years without eating a bite & not 'starve to death'.
