Bloomberg article here and archive here, since I forgot to link it. You're right, it doesn't have any concrete information, just innuendo about foreign income, and claims that his "level of indebtedness" could lead to someone buying him off.
However, the author was chasing Trump long before he was running for President, and offers this:
So Trump is a broke failure, but also his businesses and finances are actually "robust".
I suspect the person who leaked to the NYT didn't have access to the most recent tax information. They say:
So even if they had some particular policy of his that looks like a National Security risk, it's hard to link it to his finances when they don't actually have the documents from half of that time frame.
Edit: there's a long Twitter thread doing a breakdown of his financial positions, with the conclusion that Trump is $1.1 billion in debt. I don't have time to dig through it right now, if any finance-minded Kiwis want to get a start on it.

So did the Left try to get the police to execute Parscale?
So did the Left try to get the police to execute Parscale?
It does sound like a woman who didn't get what she wanted and wanted the cops to give it to her. With some cooperation from his wife, sounds like. Or just her being a crazy bitch.
Doesn't the president get a hefty pension when he leaves office? Also, I remember George HW Bush getting a cushy job as an adviser to the Carlisle Group. If they think Trump will be out on the street this January or January 2025 they've got another thing coming.
While Trump will get a pension, his post-Presidency prospects are up in the air as far as what he can or can't do.
Trump basically burnt his bridges and then some within Hollywood and the media running for President, so a return to the Apprentice is out of the question. Or getting cameos on TV shows and movies. He's also going to be living under the constant threat of retaliation prosecution (the NY State Prosecutors have outright stated they intend to go after him out of spite and malice once he leaves the White House and I don't even thing Biden/Harris saying "don't you dare!" as far as agreeing to squash all retaliation prosecutions against Trump in exchange for getting Trump to leave quietly will stop those fucks and their TDS. Especially since these are people who are still pissy that Obama gave Bush II and his crew a pass/banned retaliation prosecutions against them.
Trump MIGHT use his fortune/resources to finally start his own TV network or alternatively, join Fox News or OAN. The later is more likely, since OAN would probably pay Trump a lot more money than Fox News might be willing to spend, let alone Fox New not wanting to risk Biden and the DNC retaliating to them hiring Trump by doing what they've been wanting to do since Bush got elected: use the power of the federal government to purge Fox News from the airwaves by any means necessary.
But regardless, Trump's future is going to be hampered by the left boycotting/threatening ANYONE that gives him a platform or consulting gig. And social media will probably ban him the second Biden is announced as having won the Presidency just to silence him ASAP, especially if they think he'll fight tooth and claw in the event Biden steals the election. And them banning anyone that is associated with him. Same with the credit processors; I can see them cutting off any outlet/company that hires Trump in any fashion, as far as this sort of financial blackballing ramping up in the event of a Trump loss.
Furthermore, I can see Biden being a petty cunt and breaking longstanding tradition to freeze Trump out of ALL of the perks that come with being President (IE access to all sorts of intelligence information that all former Presidents are allowed access to) in the name of "keeping Trump from selling us out to Putin in spite".
This entire incident is why we need a flat tax.
No accountants. It can be somewhat adjusted based on income, but everyone fucking pays something.
John Oliver just dropped a video on the Supreme Court care for anyone to debunk it?
I don't get the line of reasoning mocking him for being supposedly "poor" (despite having billions in assets; property is worth money, who'd have thunk it).
It's not exactly a hard leap to go from "they're mocking him for being poor?" to "wait, does that mean they hate poor people?" by working class who the majority of are reasonably and sadly poor.
Just another way to accidentally insult the voter base and/or show their true colors to the public.
I have a feeling it works something like this:
I bought a building in 1980 valued at $1 million.
Reappraisal in 2000 after renovations valued it at $151 million
Revaluing in 2020, with 20 years of written off depreciation, has the building value as $100 million
Conclusion: TRUMP IS $50 MILLION IN DEBT
While Trump will get a pension, his post-Presidency prospects are up in the air as far as what he can or can't do.

All of this shit circles back to their core claim, that Trump is a Russian stooge. They are so obsessed with the idea that anything which fits into this narrative must be proof of it, and something to be shouted from the rooftops. If Trump is in debt, then Putin's oligarch friends must have bought him out in exchange for a favour because some Russkie paid a suspiciously high amount for a Miss Universe pageant one time(https://www.npr.org/2017/07/17/536714404/timeline-of-events-the-2013-miss-universe-pageant). In their minds this inescapably follows, while someone not on that line of thinking winds up saying "So what?" .My favorite line circulating around is that holy shit guys, he's $420 million in debt and the tax document says so, right there. Like, it doesn't matter that they're mortgages that Trump is able to make payments on and that Trump has an enormous amount of assets that he could liquidate in the event that he had cashflow issues. He's in debt, you guys. Wow. He's such a failure.
At this point, a bunch of videos could land with indisputable footage of Donald Trump personally committing every single fucking atrocity in the zoosadism leaks and then hacksawing a baby's head off for good measure, and nobody would fucking notice because they were all focused on Hashtag #Stinkfeet: "Former janitor says that the bathroom smelled kinda like feet after Trump used it. Wow, does he take his shoes off when he pisses? How gross."
I have to disagree with this greatly. Nothing about the response to Trump during his presidency has been normal, I don't expect it to become normal when he leaves office. Joy Reid last week tweeted something to the effect that when the 'nightmare' is over they'll have to 'do something' about the 'trumpists'. These people will continue their attempts to destroy this man, his family, his friends, and anyone who supported him. They don't just want him out of office, they want to punish him for threatening their power and want to make sure it never happens again.Once Trump is out of office the media and others will drop most talk of him except to lament the damage done and how great it is the new Democrat in office is fixing some stuff, but they can't do everything they need because of some new Republican figure. Look back on how Colbert's audience switched from loving how James Comey was fired to hating it, Colbert along with most Dems (and his audience) are just along with hating whatever is hip at that exact moment to hate. Their camp has a very short memory and it won't make sense politically to keep up the steady stream of hate towards a president that isn't even in office.
As he enjoys retiring from the presidency, we may even get some puff pieces remarking on the humorous nature of Trump's love of golf or Barron's soccer playing as he works his way towards college. Trump and his family will have become just funny oddities the way past presidents usually are.
Hopefully the asinine accusations that Trump became President to get richer are dead and gone now that it's abundantly clear to everyone he happily sacrificed much of his wealth, lifestyle, and status to be where he is.

Evidence hasn't stopped them from repeating accusations against Trump a single time before, why would it do so this time?
That's because their calls of "is it time to extinguish the Nobel Prize?" fell on deaf ears when Trump got his first nomination. Despite Obama winning a Peace Prize for literally no reason, Joe Public still sees the Nobel Price as a very prestigious institution. So Joe Public saw those headlines and went "wtf, you guys crazy?!". And so the media scurried along to the next nontroversy.I won't bother going through twitter but damn they are seething that Trump is receiving a third noble peace prize nomination to the point a Leftwing MP nominated Joe for one in a clear desperate attempt to be like "SEE JOE HAS A NOBLE PRIZE NOMINATION TOO!"
