I don’t doubt that Jen is pretty much housebound, but i wonder how much of it is physical and how much psychological. Learned helplessness is a thing. I think it’s pretty common among inifinifats. There have been many cases on My 600-lb Life where the patient refused to do things like walking because they believed they couldn’t.
If Jen wanted to go, she could go. No one’s asking her to jog to the store and back. Take your time. Walk as much as you can and rest in the wheelchair. If you can sit at home, you can sit outside. At this point, it’s just Jen being lazy and acting like a recluse. I think she likes the idea of being housebound and having others take care of her needs. It sure takes the pressure off being an adult, doesn’t, it, Jen?
