Not super relevant to Barb but it will be a consequence in the aftermath of her death, but has anyone brought up the question before about what's going to be the result with all the animals in the hoard once Barb croaks? I haven't seen this question much after browsing a fair few pages.
I'm assuming he has a fair few cats that are alive (At least 4 that we know of) in the house rummaging through the piles of rubbish for scraps while his two dogs piss and shit all over the house whilst continuing to put on weight and bark and howl from extreme boredom. But he also has some cats that hang around his house as well under it that are strays and we know he's taken a few straggler kittens as well who have dared wondering in that biohazard for sustenance, some to die off within a few weeks, while for others only making it for a few months (Probably due to the poor hygiene conditions inside all those rooms and none of the cats having any sort of injections and having a developing immune system at that age).
So when the inevitable day happens and Barb dies and he eventually has to leave the house, what exactly do you think is going to be the end result with most of his animals? We don't really know how much of a close emotional attachment he has to most of his cats, he seems to pretty neglectful when it comes to looking after them when any serious health needs that have arisen (sometimes he's begged for money in order to get some medicine, only to actually end up scamming people, whilst other times his cats have gotten seriously injured and yet he's completely refused to take them to a vet). What's rather pathetic is that cats are not as particularly needy or dependent on people as much as dogs, they only need a place to shit, sleep, eat and play for a little bit and they are relatively happy, but the fact that he's had so many cats go missing, not surviving very long at all, or end up suffering sickness/injuries because of his neglect, makes me thing that he doesn't really have their safety or concerns on his mind at all and he's probably not going to be concerned about their welfare too much once he ends up getting kicked out, although I think it really depends on how much of a fuss he puts up to somehow take some of his cats along with some of the hoard and if people are able to help him take some of the cats, which probably won't happen.
His dogs are probably in for a worse predicament, we know he overfeeds them, has never walked them in his life, aren't very obedient (barking at strangers, howling because their bored) and he has shown in videos that he has verbally and physically abused them on multiple occasions. Considering these factors, he probably might be less inclined to take the dogs with him, and if the dogs do even have any slight attachment to Chris, it might sadden him somewhat because he has had them for a long time, but who knows, he might just see them as more of a nuisance and more emotional baggage weighing him down (especially once Barb dies) considering he cares so little for them, so he might just abandoned them, and they might just end up in a pound (for the better).
Those stray cats won't probably be any better off, to Chris it's like they don't exist and they're just waiting for the hand that feeds, once he's gone they'll probably just move on in the neighbourhood and leech off other houses (they probably do that already). So the future is looking pretty bleak for those fur balls as well, considering how much of a predicament it will be to take any sort of belongings out of the hoard that aren't clothes/small items, someone is going to have to help him move his stuff, he's probably too retarded to get someone around and convince them to help him out (probably without paying/compensating them) and that's probably at the bottom of his pecking order when it comes to responsibilities, oh wait he doesn't have at at this point anyway.
Looks like he will probably do fuck all and just dream about his dead dog patti as an OC which he reminisces about so much because his father took care of that dog, not him, so he's seen that dog as an absolute well behaved angel, unlike the uncivilised mutts he has now.
