"I'm a good writer!" Jerry screams into his diminishing Tumblr audience while people who actually are good writers are busy creating new worlds instead of creating fanfictions set in the worlds others have created, writing best selling novels instead of shitty fanfics and comics that wouldn't be commercially viable even if they weren't set in already copywritten worlds.

You're about as good a writer as fucking Onision.

Why is it always the ones who crow about bad writing that don't know the first thing about it. I'm not sure if it's ignorance or arrogance.

The same reason people say their food is the best when they give it to Gordon Ramsay despite it being terrible. Delusion and ego.

Oh wait guys this is really important

Expert advise from Lily "damn good writer" Orchard.
If there are certain ramifications to wanting to be with someone, just ignore them cause most couples
don't have to deal with them.

I'm wondering if this is her way of retconning that narrative black hole.
But also, if anyone remembers, when that raltz showed up it immediately bonded to Lily for whatever reason (you know instead of the adult of the same species) and Gardevoir tried to kill it.
It's obvious that bonding is nothing but a nuisance and causes nothing but problems, why does this story need it?
I appreciate Gardevoir telling me that Marah is smart, funny, and really fucking pretty, because none of that is actually communicated in the comic.

Also is she just... not going to remind Lily that the only reason she can live so long is because of their mating bond? Why isn't "I'll only have a few years with her at best" a concern here? I'm guessing it's because Lily only wants to pull that out when it's justifying G's mind-rape of Lily but, you know... she introduced it and it's kind of a huge deal. It's the entire foundation behind why G was totally justified in violating her best friend because otherwise she'd die and that would make Lily super sad.

"NOOO HOW DARE THE CHILDREN'S SHOW VILLIAN GET REDEEMED" "NOOO THE VILLIAN IS FASH"
just a thought lily but maybe the villians are coming across as "space nazis" because they are generic saturday morning cartoon villians and the nazis were pretty generic villians irl
inb4 >villian
I've thought about this a lot and it just seems like people were only taught about one brand of fascism in school (predictably the white one).

You know Lily, if you're such a "damn good writer" then how come The Sith Resurgence doesn't even break into the top 500 of most like stories when searching for "Star Wars" at Archive of Our Own?

https://archiveofourown.org/works/search?utf8=✓&work_search[query]=Star+Wars&work_search[title]=&work_search[creators]=&work_search[revised_at]=&work_search[complete]=&work_search[crossover]=&work_search[single_chapter]=0&work_search[word_count]=&work_search[language_id]=&work_search[fandom_names]=&work_search[rating_ids]=&work_search[character_names]=&work_search[relationship_names]=&work_search[freeform_names]=&work_search[hits]=&work_search[kudos_count]=&work_search[comments_count]=&work_search[bookmarks_count]=&work_search[sort_column]=kudos_count&work_search[sort_direction]=desc&commit=Search

Hell, even if you specifically search for stories focusing on the Sequel Trilogy The Sith Resurgence doesn't even break into the top 200, it doesn't even come close, losing out to even freaking cross-over fic's. Granted, it doesn't seem like Archive of our Own is the place to go for high literature, but what does it say about Lily that she has to practically scream at her fans to give her story attention just for it to have the tiniest bit of relevancy what so ever?

That's such a non question with a non answer. None of her characters are fleshed out because she only writes vignettes and window dressing for romantic plots.

Half the conflict with Aliana is her being too valid or too chaotic for everyone else to handle. Theres nothing in the story that opposes or challenges her, because her only character trait is being better than everyone and good at everything.

Furthermore, "I like to" doesn't answer the question in regards to how. What do these characters add to the overall themes or narrative of the story beyond more melodrama?

A good writer wouldn't need to hold her own stories hostage until a required cuota of comments (POSITIVE comments only!) is fulfilled. Or would need to delete a good bunch of those comments since plenty were criticism for the bad writing.
Isn't that what the My Immortal writer would tell you before every chapter?

"im nut updating umtil i get five good revoiws!"

That's not really a fair assessment. For one, Star Wars is one of the largest fandoms out there and it's absolutely glutted with stories-- by that search string, over 132,000. To expect any random person to be in the top 500 out of that many stories is pretty absurd.

For two, likes (or kudos or favorites or comments or whatever) aren't a metric of quality. A bajillion people bought the Twilight books and millions legitimately love them. In no way does that make them good books, and in no way does that make Stephanie Meyer a good writer. This is a phenomenon that's even easier to see in fandom circles, where you can find extremely well-written fanfiction that is absolutely buried under thousands of other stories because Good Author stuck to their intentions and wrote a great action-adventure story with a lot of complex characterization, fun interactions, and cool concepts, while Everybody Else wrote a shipfic about an extremely popular pairing.

(On the other hand, the number one return on that string -- 'a reylo fic' -- is basically a perfected version of The Sith Resurgence, so maybe argumentum ad populum is legitimate.)

Absolutely none of which is to say that Lily is just a diamond in the rough. Just looking at her work is proof enough of that. Her language is basic, her prose anywhere from serviceable to stupid. In her self-assessment answering that other Ask, I think it's fair to say that her dialogue is the strongest aspect of her writing... but that says more about her overall quality of her writing than it does about her phenomenal dialogue skills.

I also don't want to dismiss your general point, either, because Lily is pretty purposefully choosing fandoms with huge fanbases. I don't think she's under any delusion that she'll become a big-name fan, but the thing is, if you write a Star Wars fic and attract a fraction of a percentage of the audience, that's still a ton of people. Same with Pokemon, or World of Warcraft, or MLP. The audiences are so massive that even if you don't strike gold and get lucky, you're still going to be riding high. This is also why she deleted her WoW-fic-- she failed to court the crowd, therefore it wasn't worth it. She needs a baseline level of outside validation or else there's no point to the project. She's admitted as much herself.

Isn't that what the My Immortal writer would tell you before every chapter?

"im nut updating umtil i get five good revoiws!"
Yep. I'm personally of the belief that My Immortal is a trollfic, so I'm going to say that tendency was based off the real tendency for arrogant, assholish fanfiction writers who would get upset that their story wasn't attracting as many comments as it should be and would leave A/Ns saying "I got fewer reviews last chapter than normal so unless you guys review ten times and prove you're still reading I'm just gonna stop writing!"

Lily hasn't said this as such, but she's definitely left some Tumblr posts bemoaning how little attention her work is getting and that it just isn't worth it to keep going, HINT HINT.

Ah yes, I see the connection between fetishizing abusive relationships and... Arthas? His only screen relationship was Jaina, which considering the situation ended pretty tame with her walking away and him just going "Welp, can't do anything to change it.".

Oh wait, I forgot, this is where we interpret every action he's ever taken as some sort of metaphor for abuse. The way he stabbed zombies through the chest? Totally rape.

You're about as good a writer as fucking Onision.
I mean... Onision at least (self) published books and they weren't' fanfiction. And... Fuck, Onision's books had things happening even if it was complete creepy bullshit. Lilly, you are a worse writer than Onision!

I don't know why bother if everything she says only raises more questions just to stop the conversation later

"the bond had consequences, until they had no more, and then had it again when I wanted
"the bond is permanent and immutable, but it can be cut, but G dies and she (Lily) doesn't want to"

How ?: she (the good writer) doesn't know
there is another solution that fixes everything: "shrugs"

and something to add here, pokemon has a very wide lifespan depending on the type;
little ones can live 20-40 years (ash's pikachu is 20 years old)
grass live like trees 50-hundreds of years
dragons, rocks, steel live millennia
fairies live for millennia (a Floette in XY lived for 3000 years)

I don’t know where she got that Gardevoir die so early, as if they had a expiration date (She’d wither?)

Honestly it's just something Jerry pulled out of his ass probably because he likes the idea of someone owing their entire life to him. If this comic were real Jerry would be constantly using the mating bond to guilt Gardevoir into doing whatever he wants because if she doesn't Jerry will act like a fucking prick until Gardevoir gives in.
Basically it's a way for Jerry to be abusive and controlling without being the bad guy.

Don’t forget Grabbyvore knew Lily would be soooooo sad without her so she had to rape a 14 year old in her sleep. Nothing problematic here!

Very funny she thinks it's wrong for people like Hannah Ayoubi to TALK about art that SOMEONE ELSE made where one minor and one seemingly ageless character are HOLDING EACH OTHER is worth someone getting their job taken away, but writing about how someone dick getting hard when a child is confessing their love and sexual feelings in is okay. I agree that what Hannah did is fucked up and there definitely is a problem in the animation industry with this sort of thing. But holy shit. It infuriates me that she reblogs shit like this when she's done so much worse.

So as a recap-

adult aged G is about die and she didnt want to make lily sad, so she decided to rape lily during the night as this prolongs her life span... somehow? G was scared a young 15 year old lily would reject her so logically, rape was the only option.

Now that both are adults, lily could use this against G as literal death threats so she can get G to do whatever she desires otherwise she will kill G. But according to lily's monkey brain Gardevoir still has the power dynamics because she's a strong spychic type.

This is a case of a toxic relationship where both could blackmail eachother, both have a leg up on the other and both will happily use their artillery on the other to get their way in a snap of a finger.

Lily control's gardevoirs life (being the trainer) and if she lives or not, and G can put lily in a hypnotic state and has done so in the past to get her way with lily and to get away with stuff- also she raped a 15 year old as an adult so despite lily being an adult, g is still a generation ahead in terms of mind so this is a weird conviluded age gap also in technicality... (fuck me this is a pain)

also gardevoirs can easilly kill a human if damned well please and has been hinted at she's almost killed lily...

However G is still considered the manipulator in this relationship and not Lily? Even though lily now has all the power dynamic in the relationship as it's technically up to her if G lives or dies... Despite lily once being the victimc cuz rapes bad i dont think i need to describe why raping a 15 year old is bad jesus christ.

Then a rape child was made because G swapped some of lily's blood (how the fuck did she get lily's blood?!) into the mixture when they tried saving the ralts line causing Bonnie. Yes it would be considered a rape child as lily's dna was used without her consent to create a literal child. there is no other word for it.

Now a new defo-not-another-mary-sue-shut-up gardevoir comes into the mix and G falls in love with her even though she's had a crush on lily for the past nth years? or are we just going to ignore that?

G realizes this mating bond with her master could affect her chances with the gardevoir for some reason? If the mating bond isnt driven by romantic love but a love a trainer has for their pokemon, why would this effect a romantic love a pokemon may have? Unless the mating bond is romantic and Mara has issues with polyamory? I'd think raping a 15 year old would maybe fuck your chances of getting a relationship but maybe the other Gardevoir mind raped makaila so they have something in common to discuss over a date idk.

tl dr:
God damn it i wish i made all that shit up but the fact someone who claimed wanted soft lesbian romances has made up a story about pedophilia, beastiality, rape, power dynamics (somehow on both sides of the relationship), a rape child somehow with one of the parents not being aware of said rape child, and just.... more bullcrap is even bypassed Chris Chan levels of fuckery. Astleast Chris's story is just 'im in sonics world yay!' and not 'im in the pokemon world where i can do whatever- so let me be a rape victim!'

Honestly i'd rather slash fick of human x gardevoir lesbian scissoring written in tmi detail thank whatever that wankfest is...and how tf is this written by nearly 30 year old women of all things who claim theyre lesbians and wants whats best for the lesbian populous... yeah really making them proud with this one.

... why is this lebian slice of life filled with more drama than a soap opera on steroids?
