My city got enough parents worried about it they scheduled a town hall to directly allow parents to address it.

I'd point out, my city is a swing city in a swing state and one of the larger ones in the state.

They really weren't though. Their alternatives were such truths as "we'll easily defeat the USSR" and "don't worry about allied strategic bombing", and that didn't work out very well.
