Since 2016 I've spent like $50 on gems of war, $32 of that was earned through Microsoft rewards and I cringe hard at myself for doing it.
And you usually get something to keep or at least a rare achievement.

I dropped $20 or $30 on a gacha pull once and felt like an asshole after doing so. If I woke up tomorrow bankrupt with all my savings in a mobile game I would seriously consider putting a bullet in my brain.

I could understand spending $10-20 on a freemium game for a set of permanent, premium features like no ads or new characters/abilities, and as a way to compensate devs after you’ve already spent weeks playing and enjoying it. I remember spending $20 on Clash of Clans to instantly get the 5th and final builder, but I still don’t regret that purchase since I was already a month into the game then, and I then went on to get a shitton of use out of it.

But spending $60+ on a mobile game for a chance to get something amazing is absolutely batshit to me. I get that the risk of not getting anything is the thrill factor there for gamblers, but $60+ is a complete rip off for some cheap thrills.

Champions also appeals to him because the gameplay has nothing to do with wrestling, its a puzzle gem matching game made by Russian scientists to teach down syndrome babies the primary colors and how to count to 4.

Phil likely has to use both hands and feet to count that high.

I don't know if it's because I'm sensible, or because I'm a complete boomer, but I've never spent a penny on a mobile game, or for that matter any sort of loot box. I'll happily wait months for DLC to get a slight discount, so the idea of spending hundreds on the chance you might win something seems like absolute insanity.

And even with the scummiest DLC business model I could think of which is completely cosmetic DLC-locked costumes for your favorite Dead or Alive waifus to jack off to, which caused Dead or Alive 5 Last Round to have $1000 of DLC, at least once you whale out and buy all of them, you get all the costumes GUARANTEED as advertised so you can go whack off to them.
For mobile games, and namely WWE Champions, you could spend $1000 on Sweaty Musclebound Men jpegs you can whack off to and after you spend your half-a-year's worth of paycheck you could still end up getting nothing.

It's actually really funny. He could've made money off WWE if he made videos off it and streamed it occasionally.
So im not sure how accurate is it but looks like dsp spent 500dollars on this mobile game yesterday?

It's actually really funny. He could've made money off WWE if he made videos off it and streamed it occasionally even spending like he does. If he streamed his pulls, him doing pulls for others, some whale content, and made general videos he'd probably have profited from that endeavor, especially if he wrote off the expenses for business.

Well maybe DSP fucked his ad revenue up somehow, I can't imagine others giving him their account information, and he probably can't get sponsorships. But a normal person with any sort of following could have made a decent amount of money.

Didn't this piece of shit game launch in 2017? A.k.a. peak save the house shenanigans? Even the wheelchair brigade shouldn't be retarded enough to give into the grift when they see him blow hundreds of dollars on his only passion I assume.

Prove me wrong, Phil.

It all depends, I think. If he were able to get enough views to pay for his whaling, then it's just another game, but with a poor return.

The "save the house" was a scam.

Phil needed money to pay his taxes or he would lose his house. Phil was able to raise tens of thousands of dollars, mostly from Emerald7. The house was saved! He then used the money to fly Kat out to visit and to move her in. A few months later he revealed that he didn't even use the money to pay his taxes. He just got a payment plan.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was spending the "save the house" money on WWE Champions. His house was never at risk of being lost and he didn't spend the money he raised to do anything to save it.

And as we found out earlier this year, all Phil really had to do was file for bankruptcy. His fans gave him all that money and it was a lie.

The viewers obviously don't care Phil is a scammer since they still give him hundreds of dollars every day.

WWE Champions launched March 8th, 2016. Somewhere shortly, like 2 months, after Kathy moved in the game had the update to the VIP level system which he paid a minimum of $40K to max out over the next 2 years. . .opps, I mean "totally NOT Phil you STUPID MORONS!!!"

I'd guess back through 2016 to 2018 he was spending at least $500 a month on the game, all while crying disastrous calamity about how 'OTHER PEOPLE' destroyed his YouTube channel. . .because 'other people' totally did all those things that he did.

Probably some went to it, but I think the money raised was basically used to delay the inevitable bankruptcy, bandaid-on-gunshot-wound style. Granted, he probably could have paid down some of the balances and actually addressed the core issues, but that would require a modicum of forethought and self-control.

Yeah, I really wish we had earlier figures on his levels, rosters, etc. I suspect he's been at the "ceiling" the entire time we've known about his whaling (since January 2020), and all the really insane spending came before that.

Speaking of insane spending, what do our resident Champions Experts think of the "$500 in a day" claim on the previous page?

I doubt he spends that much every day, but based on what has been documented here about him getting new wrestlers or moving up levels and how much it costs to do that, there are definitely days he's spent that much.

I don't think he spends $500 every day. Just when an event comes up he might spend that much in one day to get the pulls he wants.

Right, but I'm sort of surprised that he'd even spend that much. Like, his roster went from 200 to 239 this year. $500 apiece seems implausible even for him. Even if that was just really bad luck and your average pull only sets you back like $250, we're still talking ten grand. It seems high.

Not that I'm saying his rampant homosexuality has limits, mind you. Just that he theoretically shouldn't still be spending at the frantic rate that got him to top-tier.
