I've been watching the Black Clover dub on Toonami, and it just got to the part where they're like "let's go train for six months so we can fight demons better." A friend of mine is caught up on the manga, and he told me that the training arc is filler (the manga skips the training and goes straight back to the plot), but the training arc is pretty ingenious, I have to admit. With the anime catching up to the manga even with the occasional filler episode, Tabata basically put in an excuse for the anime to have a good half year's filler. Once that's done, they'll have a fair amount of chapters to adapt when the plot kicks in again.

Hell, I wasn't even aware that there had been a number of filler episodes already. BC's filler is just as entertaining as the main story, so I never noticed. Kinda sucks having to wait for the plot again, but I'm not complaining too hard. It's still one of the best shonen series in recent years. Kinda wonder why Pierrot isn't taking the seasonal route like other shonen series have been doing lately (like MHA and Demon Slayer) so they could avoid filler altogether.

There is no bullying in that show, and the only people who would think there is are the sort of people offended by Uzaki-chan having big tits.

I don't understand who this is aimed at. Maybe SJWs trying to trigger the chuds, own the chuds who watched it to trigger the libs, own the libs?

/a/ recently did a B-movie-like storytime for U19, the series that created the term 'U19 Club', used both on 4 and 5 chans for WSJ series that get canned around (or usually, before) chapter 19.
It's an objectively poorly written, poorly drawn, poorly paced, and poorly conceptualized series, but it has some unintentionally incredible ideas like the rival's power awakening that are unironically worth seeing for yourself.

If that means Funi's going to try to censor the tits to appease the SJWs, then the ensuing shitstorm from both side of the coin, as well as the original production team, will be amazing.

Though that begs the question, why the flying fuck did they even license it to begin with? Were they forced to?

The anime is coming out next season, so its a good time to get into it, actually. If you're going to read it, there's a prequel, Tokyo Metropolitan Magical Technical School, that's kind of important to read. Many of the characters show up later, and it helps to figure out certain motivations. I don't know how they're going to handle it in the anime.
I just read the prequel and enjoyed the hell out of it. This definitely seems up my alley, I think I might wait for the anime if it's good.

Been watching Toradora and got to the point where
Taigah and Ryuji decide to elope.

Not really sure whether it’s in part due to current life stuff or the show’s just that good, but it got me pretty damn emotional in the last six or so episodes.

Normally, I roll my eyes at love triangles, but the characters involved were all actually very likable and form a strong bond with each other as time went on. The Christmas episode in particular was pretty hard to watch.

Wouldn't put it past FUNimation to do just that, though. I doubt they're actually learning their lesson.
Yeah, I took it at face value at first because I had already heard about them inserting their political opinions into dragon maid and hajimete no gal among other shows and dropping interspecies reviewers because it "didn't fit their standards". I can totally see them messing with Uzaki.

Don't know if anyone mentioned it, but I'm enjoying this new manga called Kaiju no.8/Monster 8. Simply put, Japan has a kaiju problem and a dedicated task force to killing them, along with a clean up crew. Protagonist is a 32 year old man who works for the clean up crew who still dreams of joining the kaiju killing task force to make good on a promise with his female childhood friend, who is the face/top member of the task force. Shit happens, and somehow he ends up turning into a very powerful, human sized monster who can blow away kaiju easily and transform back. He gets labeled as this high level threat called the titular Kaiju no.8.

Typical shounen story atm, but I like that the protagonist is an older, yet still inexperienced guy. It's just fun to read and comes out weekly.

Just an FYI, the Fillers for BC are canon to the story. Except the recaps & that one special, those are non-canon.
