A transgender woman accused of shooting dead three prostitutes in 1990 has blamed the killings on her violent male persona.
Donna Perry, 62, appeared in court in Spokane, Washington on Tuesday - 24 years after she allegedly murdered the women and dumped their bodies on the banks of the Spokane River.
When Perry was arrested in connection with the crimes in 2012, she claimed that she had transitioned into a female in 2000 to stop her male persona - Doug Perry - from being violent.
'Douglas didn't stop, Donna stopped it,' Perry told police about the killings, according to an affidavit filed in January. 'I'm not going to admit I killed anybody, I didn't. Donna has killed nobody.'
When asked if Doug was responsible, she responded: 'I don't know if Doug did or not, it was 20 years ago and I have no idea whether he did or did not,' according to ABC News.
In claims that experts say will only fuel misunderstandings about transgender people, Perry claimed she had the sex-change operation in Thailand - which involves removing the testicles and therefore affecting testosterone production - 'as a permanent way to control violence'.
She claimed when a person transitions from male to female, 'there's a great downturn in violence' - which experts deny.
She is accused of killing Yolanda Sapp, Kathleen Brisbois and Nicki Lowe, whom police say were prostitutes, and dumping their naked bodies on the river banks.
After the case ran cold for more than two decades, Perry was linked to the crimes through DNA and fingerprint evidence allegedly left at the murder scenes.
According to the affidavit, detectives also interviewed a woman who had shared a cell with Perry during a stint in an Oregon prison in 1998.
She claimed that Perry said she had killed nine prostitutes 'because she couldn't breed and the women had the ability to have children and they were wasting it being "pond scum".'
Perry is being held on $1 million bond in a Spokane County jail and initially refused to appear in court on Monday. On Tuesday, the judge issued a drag order and she was forced to appear, KHQ reported.

Experts also say there is no evidence that hormone therapy in gender treatments helps reduce aggression or violence.

I thought the entire point of slam poems was live delivery and how it's given? They're pointless without it because they just read like bad poems. It's hilarious that they point out in the opening that Rowling is a billionaire and end it with consequences of her action are that her sales are down and her reputation is tarnished like they're some sort of real punishment. First off, she's a fucking billionaire. They absolutely do not care what plebs think. Second, hasn't she doubled down on her anti-troon comments? Rowling has demonstrated that the supposed consequences of her actions don't matter to her.
This poem is absolute seethe. Troons no not have any power over Rowling. She does not care what they think. They cannot touch her. She could get internationally cancelled by anyone of any import and she will still be a billionaire who doesn't have to have a care in the world unless she chooses to.

You don't have to cut them from the internet completely, just block specific sites. They don't need Reddit for example, which is one the biggest communities for these people. And almost every router lets you blacklist specific websites.
Blocking websites like Reddit may not be a 100% guarantee she won't get groomed by these people, but at the very least the chance goes down considerably.

I doubt it affected her sales, it's probably improved them. Her books were top sellers again after she made her comments. Considering anti-troons are mostly silent for fear of reprisal and dog piling it makes sense that when someone affirms their stance and they can quietly support them, they will.
Rowling is the perfect storm. Untouchable. Already made more than enough money. Actually affected broader culture. Able to be suppported with minimal risk through supporting her product.
Most gender reveal parties aren't really a party. They're usually parents filming a video or photoshoot for social media. Some are larger parties but it's usually more of an announcement for famiky and friends. It is interesting how they're becoming more and more common, subtle pushback against the troon menace?

I think baby showers are different. Gender reveals are a new thing and none of my friends are yuppie enough to have ever done them, so I'm not entirely sure. Baby showers are for female friends and family members to celebrate the mother and her pregnancy and give presents. Reveals are an excuse to have a party. There's nothing around with partying, but just have a party ffs.

Youth groups need to enforce the age limits. If anyone follows the Colt Seidman thread over in Rat Kings, their group very much enforced it, which is a good thing. If anything there should be groups for the high school aged and for the college aged that are separate. This is one good thing about high school GSAs — everyone except the teacher is 18 or under.
I also think the people who run these orgs don’t realize the issue because it hadn’t been an issue in the past. If you are a middle aged gay man or lesbian when you were young you surely did appreciate the older members of the community and their stories about what it had been like in the days when being gay was still truly illegal. I’m sure there was sexual behavior, but these were almost all adults, and I do not think that even the sleazy 60 year old fag who wants a young twink matches the creepiness of the standard AGP.

Gay men grooming young or underaged gays is very much a thing. Milo talking about it and how it isn't a big deal because he did it when he was young is what got him labeled as a pedo. It is extremely predatory culture largely based around drugs and promiscuity. Lesbian friends of mine have had it happen to them, but they were in their twenties. Everyone who bases their identity around their sexuality or a fetish is going to be a degenerate of some degree.
