What they usually did was had some PSA at the end about not smoking, stay away from strangers, or anything like that.

As far as I know, only the Sailor Moon DiC dub did the Sailor Says segments since at the time, television programs aimed at kids had to have specific guidelines as "edutainment" which included moral lessons. Sonic Says played this straight while Animaniacs spoofed this with the Wheel of Morality.

Dragon Maid s2 is coming out, nice to see Kyoani back, though it'll probably get pretty painful reaction from the west when it comes out.

The tag line is nice, seems like they're putting their best step forward.

Can't wait to see how Funimation will piss off the weebs more with season two. :^)

Cloudcaptors did “Secrets of the Clow” which was just them taking an episode they didn’t dub/air and condensing it to 30 seconds to show why Sakura would have the card in later episodes despite skipping the episode itself.

I think Kids' WB also did that to take out the Kero's Corner slot, which the dub did do and kept on Teletoon. I only knew Kero's Corner existed as a kid because some of them were put on the Nelvana Cardcaptors website (I loved visiting it as a kid) as those old-timey QuickTime files.

It wasn't really a specific guideline, but it was more of an 80s thing... and I can't recall any other programs but DIC's doing that by the 90s. Then again, they were kind of stuck in the 80s in a lot of things, especially when it came to their idea of how to make shows. (They had very, very few original characters, after all. Most of their shows were based on a licensed property.)

It wasn’t a PSA, but I think I remember the Samurai Pizza Cats having like a fan club oath or something at the end of every episode.

"The Pizza Cats are Samurai, and I'd like to note
Their antics take your breath away, like fur balls in your throat..."
“We kittens are a special breed, we never call retreat. Whenever Big Cheese knocks us down, we land upon our feet.”

The reason that's in there is the same reason the intro is very long. A lot was cut out in the English dub - many gags that would never, ever have been allowed onto American TV.

I’m getting back to reading manga come this Friday.
It’s been a while since I bought some new titles, with the last ones being 20th Century Boys and the original Ghost In The Shell manga during the beginning of the year.

Right now, I’m going to finish up reading Eureka Seven and probably buy BLAME! towards the end of the month. Before that happens, I’ll buy the Planetes omnibus since I loved reading it last year. In fact, I was surprised that the guy who created the story also did Vinland Saga.

Just an FYI, BLAME! has a prequel & 2 spin-offs

he made chronexia and the eight seals or at least a single episode before he gave it an indefinite hiatus

Given he wrote it as a teen I wouldn't hope much from the story and the animation looked pretty bad

Sorry for quoting a long-ago post but just to shed some light on what happened really.

It's long-overdue but at least there's some revelation finally to close this book off.

You've reminded me of these two very "but why" inducing Home Improvement x Gundam crossover videos.
One day I'll get to reading you, Berserk.
Until then, this will have to suffice.

I've read the Golden Age Arc numerous times by now, great every time, but I can never seem to get very far past it for some reason.
