Best case scenario, Ralph flies off the handle and Gator responds negatively but not in any way that commits him to a split, and then immediately after that he quickly forgives him for it, and Ralph accepts. Leading us right back to where we're at already.

Except if UBI is $1000 a month all that will happen is that the average cost of living will rise by at least $1000 a month.

That's Yang's proposal... it was refined during the COVID crisis and many governments are seeing the benefits of it (specially electoral). And that's not exactly how inflation works... if that was so, the QE torrent going on for almost a decade now would have been catastrophic re inflation
