That isn't even all the AG dolls, I think these are just some of the ones that are minorities. And yeah there are duplicates here, there are two Addys in the back row, two Ashlynns in the front row, the two on the far right in the second highest row also seem to be duplicates but I don't know which dolls they are.

If she donated even the tiniest sliver of her toy hoard to needy kids, she'd actually manage to help someone like she claims she wants to. But, then again, that could result in demon white kids touching her things, and she thinks shelling out money to Mattel is the best form of activism around.

That's something like $3500 worth of dolls there, not counting clothes and accessories. And that isn't her full collection.

I know she picks up a bunch of dolls at thrift stores and stuff but IMO that's worse. As someone who buys 90% of my clothes used, I am not one to preach that thrift shopping for fun is stealing clothes from the needy. Fast fashion and fashion waste is a big problem and it's way easier to develop a unique and personal style if you thrift shop or shop used online.

But American Girl dolls? Fuck no and fuck you, Neth. You know there are thousands of underprivileged little girls out there (probably plenty of girls of color!) who dream of having an AG doll, but whose only option would be the beat-up Addy at Goodwill. And they can't even have that, because Neth's old fat cranky ass has hustled them all up.

If Neth donated 80% of her doll collection to children of color I would gain a little respect for her. But like so many cows, she's all about "me me me".

But... white kids could touch Addy and whitewash her!!

I also screenshotted a comment I made from a throwaway account. It was Neth's IG post about how she stopped being friends with someone over a lack of black dolls. She left a response that I was unable to read before she blocked me.

Went to look for the response, and I think she pulled your comment down, unless it was on a different post than I'm thinking of.

Anyway, she bought yet another doll:

There's just no way she even touches most of these dolls she buys after a few initial days pass. This is the silliest idea of "activism" I've seen. She just buys non-white dolls to toss into a pile somewhere and most likely ignores a lot of them, then she thinks she's helping society.

Is this how much she usually buys in a week?

So.....she goes on about these black dolls and how there should be more and ect....but not a single doll she has has authentic African American hair or hairstyle....its all white girl hair on a brown body but....you know representation.

Where are the braids? Cornrows? Curly puffy afros? Like....ok you want black dolls that are just tanned white girls.

Also American girl dolls are creepy as shit. How desperate is her husband for pussy to remain with this nut job?

Isn't Addy supposed to be brave, kind, and selfless? I never got into American Girl, but didn't she escape from slavery and teach her mom to read and other awesome shit? It's wild how Neth obsesses over these characters but the messages of being kind, generous, etc, from children's books go over her head.

The company does make dolls with more realistic "textured" hair, but Neth does seem to gravitate more towards the ones with straight hair for whatever reason.

Yep. There was a scene in the first book where Addy says that she hates white people, and her mother tells her not to hate because hating would mean there was no room left in her for love. I assume Neth must have skipped that page.

The way that Neth writes about these characters isn't close to how they are portrayed in their books. I can only speak for some of the earlier ones that I read the books on as a kid, but here's some examples. Kaya, who in the books is adventurous, impulsive and generous, she writes as basically a stereotype of a Tumblr user:

(Neth has another post where she is very angry that Kaya comes dressed in buckskins and that most people take pictures of her wearing that type of thing. The character lived in the 1700s, so she's pissed that she's dressed in historically accurate clothing.)

In the books, Addy is pretty shy, sometimes naive, and a lot of the series involves her learning to find her voice and stand up for what is right. Neth portrays her as super bossy and rude:

Yeah, it is fine to spread the info we've got here to the rest of the fandom so they know who Neth is, but generally interacting with cows is a bad idea since it could cause them to privatize everything. It is very unlikely that someone will be able to change a cow's ways, especially when they've dug in as hard as Neth and Boom have for as long as they have. Best that can be hoped for is that more people in the fandom realize they shouldn't be listened to and that, in Neth's case, they are potentially dangerous.

Ugh, Neth is so entitled. People have the right to vent their frustrations about the sale.
She also recently banned someone because they called her out as a bully.
IDK how that sale was handled since folks couldn't go to it in person like they usually do. I hope the sellers listed what was defective on each doll so people knew what they were getting, if not I can understand how someone unfamiliar with the sale would be disappointed if it wasn't what they were expecting. (I also don't understand why Neth is pissy that people clean up the dolls they get from this sale and sell them themselves. That's kinda just how these things go, lol.)

Do you have screencaps of the latest ban?

Well, American Girl donates overstock to a children's museum for the museum to sell at discounted prices. This year the sale had to be held online. People who already bought tickets were given access to their online shop, I guess. The dolls are marked with a tiny X so staff at the stores know not to accept a return on them/no free repairs. People living in the area will often resell the dolls even though you aren't really supposed to.

I guess that's what this is about?:

Literally none of the issues we've got with her have to do with her being black, since that's one of her few qualities that isn't actually hurting anybody, but I guess it's inconceivable to her that she could be getting judged for who she is as a person and not for her superficial attributes.
