I can only assume, but: Apparently they thought it was covid, but it was actually COPD or emphysema or something?
Was she going around coughing on people or something? Because if she actually had covid, and they fired her for it, I smell a delicious delicious lawsuit in the making.

The canceling happened back in 2017. From the way he described it, the people at Sentai were blaming some of the symptoms of COPD (tiredness, weight loss, Lemoine-level wheezing) on some abusive behavior on La Porte's behavior.
I really think she could make an interesting guest on Nick's show. Not only because of canceled-in-anime angle, but because she'a also a practicing attorney.

I'd be curious to know what kind of abusive behavior would cause emphysema. It's not like a chronic lung disease is something that's contagious and can just be given from one person to another. Unless she purposely exposed him to something that she knew would cause his disease... I highly doubt there is anyone to blame. Just sounds like another bullshit reason to kick someone out of their club.

When I was younger I used to believe the stereotype about how gay = effeminate and weak (although there is for sure a reason such stereotypes exist. How in the fuck do so many gay men talk with the same lisp and the same effeminate tone?)
Anyway, then I got out into the world and met more people and realized I was just a dumb kid that didn't actually know shit. I found out most gay men are not into twinks (no shade at you, Giraffes). They're attracted to men, so masculinity is what turns them on. And I met more than a few gay men that were legit badasses, like real deal killers, that would have been hits with the ladies if they weren't also competing for cock with them.
