off topic but i think the us is more like ethan in this situation, both wanted free speech up to a government being told they must allow foreign propaganda to be played freely (not that its bad propaganda asking for freedom and rights) and ethan wanting youtube to foot the bill for something they found morally abhorrent to spread potentially with no gain and indeed loss for themselves. Except now that its time for them to allow the other side to speak suddenly its ok to ban things for being a threat to their system or ideas and now its ok to flag people for bullying or doxing and racism.
