Can we reflect for a moment on how this girl’s father hasn’t done anything productive to get her back from Gunt? They neglected her so bad her teeth are rotted out at age 18, and now we find out she’s had an abusive stalker since she was 15. Do fathers not protect their daughters anymore? I kind of hate her dad.

If he was a father worth anything she wouldn't be with the gunt in the first place. Lot of dysfunctional Americans in this day and age (For a variety of debatable reasons.) and there's only so much that can be done to break the cycle.

It's sad, but the kid is screwed. Hopefully she doesn't have any children to break the cycle.

I don't envy parents these days. How on earth can they discipline or tell their kids no when they are supposed to just be supportive and let them do what they want? And in some cases if you refuse to let your kids do what they want, the government may get them involved. It's a no win situation. Spank them, you may go to jail. Take away their phone, well, you are basically cutting them off from society since so much of life is online today. You can't really use guilt or use the threat of going to hell or something since so many people are atheists today. The only parenting option left for parents is you are supposed to reason with kids. That's the only acceptable parenting technique today. Reason with people whose brains aren't developed yet. It has to be nearly impossible.
