Scary isn't it? But people bear in mind that MOST home invasions are usually armed! Those invaders didn't have guns to begin with, and the entire incident could be thwarted HAD THOSE WOMEN OWNED A FIREARM...
If I were in that video, when Home Invader B says "Who's going to stop us?" This is were I would get my handgun and open fire on them...

THOUGH IT’S GOTTEN very little attention in the gay press, The Supreme Court struck down the DC Firearms Ban in 2008,. The handgun ban in the District of Columbia was found unconstitutional because the law is especially harmful to gay Americans. The brief joins a large coalition of groups, including the National Rifle Association, arguing for individual rights under the Second Amendment.
The brief was filed on behalf of Pink Pistols and Gays & Lesbians for Individual Liberty (GLIL). Pink Pistols is an international group formed a few years ago with the basic mission of advocating gun ownership and training in the proper use of firearms by gay people. GLIL is a libertarian gay group that consistently defends individual rights.
The gay gun rights case argues that the D.C. gun control law violates the Second Amendment, long the forgotten and some say most “embarrassing” part of the Bill of Rights. The Second Amendment says: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Gay people of the United States, you have a constitutional right to protect yourselves from hate crime and home invasion, It is called The Second Amendment, Defender of the rest of your rights!
MANY PEOPLE HAVE long argued that the reference to “a well-regulated militia” means that the right is limited to citizens serving collectively in a modern-day military force, like the National Guard. Under this interpretation, the amendment would not protect any individual right to bear arms outside the militia context, meaning that the government can entirely ban private gun ownership, even guns needed for self-defense in the home.
However, as even many liberal scholars now acknowledge, that interpretation makes little sense of the text and history of the amendment and of the Bill of Rights generally, which contains a series of individual rights.
The gay gun rights brief adds an important perspective to this argument. It makes several points about the connection between firearms, gay rights and the practical self-defense needs of gay Americans.
First, the brief argues that the right to keep and bear arms is especially instrumental for a population at once subject to pervasive hate violence and inadequate police protection.
From 1995 to 2005, according to the FBI, more than 13,000 incidents of anti-gay hate violence were reported by law enforcement agencies. When you consider that fewer than half of all violent crimes are reported, it is certain that even this number seriously underestimates the problem.
Worse still, gays are often afraid to report anti-gay crimes. There is a sorry history of hostile or skeptical police response, public disclosure of the victim’s sexual orientation, and even physical abuse by the officers themselves. Investigative bias and lack of police training further complicate the picture. The upshot is that gays must be responsible for their own defense; they cannot rely solely on law enforcement for it.
Anti-gay hate crimes share several other characteristics that make the use of firearms for self-defense especially significant. Such crimes are unusually brutal, often involving multiple and vicious attacks. They are highly likely to involve multiple assailants. Attackers often themselves use guns, making anything short of a like defense almost completely ineffective.
Surprisingly, almost one-third of anti-gay bias crimes occur in the home, the precise location where the D.C. gun law forbids the effective possession of firearms for self-protection.
IT’S TRUE THAT gun possession does not guarantee protection from violent crime. The gun may be incompetently used, for example. But where the Constitution itself protects an individual right, it is not for the government to say the citizen may not enjoy the right simply because she may not make effective use of it.
Second, the gay gun rights brief points out that unless the Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess firearms, gay Americans are effectively disqualified from any exercise of the right. That’s because under the current prevailing interpretation of the Constitution, the government may entirely exclude gays and lesbians from military service ( “the militia” ).
If the Second Amendment protects only the collective right of a state’s citizens to possess arms within a militia, and if gays may be excluded from that militia, then the Second Amendment is a dead letter for gay Americans. They have no rights on the subject the government is bound to respect.
I do not own a gun. Frankly, I am strongly considering owning a firearm in the future for my protection. But for many other gay people, especially the ones living on the margins of life in crime-prone or anti-gay areas, owning a gun is one important part of a comprehensive plan for protecting life and property.
Gun ownership might at the very least give them peace of mind. And widespread knowledge that many gays are packing might give their would-be attackers second thoughts. Gun rights are gay rights.

Why you love/worship/draw/cosplay Sasuke Uchiha?
To each of us, He must mean something to all of us....here's an example of what I'm talking about:
For me, Sasuke is, anything I envision him to be -- and right now, Sasuke is a very strong motivational and empowering figure for me to succeed -- I mean I lost 40+ pounds for the sake of preparing to cosplay the most badass Uchiha alive this Summer.
When I get picked on about my appearance with cosplay. A close friend reminded me what the REAL Sasuke Uchiha would do:
"you're an Uchiha and what are they? Not Uchihas. Remember that, and next time just say Hn, cause you're Sasuke"
And because of Sasuke, I have thicker skin :hug:
Please, when you answer this question, please be as specific and through intellectually with your answer as possible, in other words, don't just say "Sasuke is Sexy" that is just too damn obvious an answer
Think About It.

I have something I want to discuss about me, particularly my mental health.
All last night I was thinking about this, especially looking the responses of my last journal entry about me becoming a man because I am now finally cosplaying Sasuke Uchiha...after losing so much weight (45 pounds and 22% of my body mass)
It is myself that brought me to where I am now
Sasuke helped motivate me, he did not help me physically lose that weight
I did through dedication and determination, I simply forced it out of me to happen...
Some of you are actually upset with me and my methods of how I went about getting to that goal....and I do understand that feeling.
I really believe that I am rather obsessed with Sasuke Uchiha, but unfortunately it may be to the point I actually want to BECOME Sasuke Uchiha --- that is the part that is getting some people all upset with me
If I am trying to become Sasuke Uchiha, I guess I really must be mentally fragile, to the point I may have an Inferiority Complex.
You Ask, What is an Inferiority Complex?
An Inferiority Complex is a feeling that one is inferior to others in some way. Such feelings can arise from an imagined or actual inferiority in the afflicted person. It is often subconscious, and is thought to drive afflicted individuals to overcompensate, resulting either in spectacular achievement or extreme schizotypal behavior, or both. Unlike a normal feeling of inferiority, which can act as an incentive for achievement, an inferiority complex is an advanced state of discouragement, often resulting in a retreat from difficulties.
Here are some of the causes of Inferiority Complex:
> Physical defects - such as disproportional facial and body features, weight, height, strength, speech defects and defective vision cause inferiority complexes.
> Mental limitations - brings feelings of inferiority when unfavorable comparisons are made with the superior achievements of others, and when satisfactory performance is expected.
> Social disadvantages and discriminations - family, race, sex, sexual orientation, economic status, religion, or color.
This feeling may be manifested in withdrawal from social contacts or excessive seeking for attention, criticism of others, overly dutiful obedience, fear and worry.
Now I must ask you all, does this sound a lot like what I have been doing and going through?
I am not sating I regret in any way achieving this Sasuke cosplay goal -- I am however worried how I did get there and and how I am seeking everyone's praise, attention, and approval for this goal.
If all my boasting and my updates leading up this annoyed you in any way, I apologize...I believe some of that was natural excitment coming through me ---and that is hard for anyone to keep to themselves.
I know a lot of you do look up to me and all, I ask you to show concern for me and please, please...do not what I did in the same exact fashion to get to a goal like this.
BE YOURSELF.
And lastly, please do not say "Ah, ADF, Don't worry about it! you were just really obsessed over Sasuke and really driven to succeeed and really excited. Don't say something like that, you're okay."
It is all okay for you to look up to me, but I ask: At what cost it that coming at for me? Perhaps I could be losing my Identity, I might be so unhappy with what I look like in real life
I urge you, please be yourself, but that is hard for me to do...especially someone who has been bullied and harassed relentlessly in the past.

26 May 2009 - Prop 8 Gets Ruled Today
The California Supreme Court will release its decision on the fate of Proposition 8 on Tuesday, May 26.
The court will either uphold the Constitution, recognizing equal protection under the law, or uphold discrimination, taking away fundamental civil rights from a minority.
This will be a moment that you -- and your friends -- will remember for the rest of your life. I don't know what the state Supreme Court will do.
Personally, if the court uphold Prop 8 Apartheid...I will be very upset, simple as that.
I stopped being Roman Catholic because of Proposition 8 -- That's right, I left my religion because of this shit.
The religious right that was behind the Yes on 8 campaign was spreading serious lies saying that houses of worship would lose their tax-exempt status from the government and that public schools would have to teach the gay lifestyle in the classroom as part of the public school curriculum in California...utter bullshit lies.
No one WAS forcing any church, synagogue, or mosque to grant religious marriages, so what business is it of theirs? We have separation of church and state! Civil ceremonies would confer equal rights and benefits with the partner you choose, with no burden on any church. What’s the problem?
I do not want to live in a Christarded Theocracy here in America...
The vote on Proposition 8 is essentially was a vote on another group's civil rights...
The last time an event similar to this happened, you ended up with the Apartheid regime in South Africa, where the White minority ruled over the Black majority, denied Blacks to right to vote, forced Blacks to live in Bantustans like Transkei, Bophuthatswana, and townships like Soweto outside of Johannesburg, this system lasted from 1948 until Nelson Mandela was elected president of South Africa in country's first multiracial elections in 1994.
And - it is a slippery slope to allow a popular referendum to deny the rights of a minority. Democracy does not work that way. The rights of minority groups must be safeguarded to avoid the "tyranny of the majority." This danger has been recognized at least since Plato and was much written about in the early days of our own Republic.
PLEASE BOYCOTT ALL THE COMPANIES THAT GAVE MONEY TO PROP 8 IN CALIFORNIA! ALSO DO NOT CONTRIBUTE ANY MONEY TO THE CALIFORNIA ECONOMY OR VACATION IN CALIFORNIA UNTIL PROP 8 IS DEFEATED AND/OR OVERTHROWN BY POPULAR CIVIL UNREST!
I am serious about the Popular Civil Unrest part -- I do want to see California bleed red with blood when they deny a group their civil rights.

Well I am single this time and will be cosplaying none other then Sasuke Uchiha at the Gay Pride Festival...and hopefully I will find a nice, hot Naruto Uzumaki to meet and have as my boyfriend...
I am really excited to go this year...prolly cuz I am single and looking...

And the whole trip only cost me $30 -- This is only gonna be a once a week deal (I have other commitments too -- Artwork, Cosplay, Work, Fitness, and so on)

Update Since The Attack
I am sorry I have not really on too much this week -- I have been really busy with shit with life.
An Update -- I am currently in negotiations for transferring to another store with my Work
I do have a store that is a very strong candidate, on the 900 Block on Walnut Street in Downtown Philadelphia, Next to Thomas Jefferson University and Hospital, In the Theater District, and Only a couple of blocks East from my main Dobe Searching Area for my Uzumaki Love Quest, Philadelphia's Gayborhood...
Plenty of Tourists, Plenty of Doctors, Plenty of Different People Stopping in, which means plenty hours for me there and a lot more money than I am making now.
This has been a busy week, and next week will be same deal too -- I intend to get this Transfer done and over with rather quickly -- Hopefully by Mid-September -- so It won't interrupt my cosplay plans for Outfest (the Fall Gay Pride Festival) in October and Zenkaikon on November 7th and 8th in King Of Prussia, PA -- I have a pretty short window to work with to get this done.
Speaking of Cosplay plans, I have had to delay indefinitely on my Sharingan Contacts, and a better Sasuke Wig due to money issues -- Another reason why I am transferring, I need more more hours simply to pay for this hobby -- And I still intend to order my Shippuden Sai Cosplay in September and Taka Sasuke Uchiha in October before Zenkaikon.
So, TL;DR Translation: I need to Transfer quickly with minimal disruption of my original plans I have to worry about...

Would you guys think of me any different if I asked the following favor:
Can you all refer to me as a female instead of male for now on?
I know this irritates the shit outta some people, but I really am increasingly uncomfortable being referred to as 'Male' . I used to be really neutral about whatever gender I choose to identify as...But now, I am starting to develop a preference as to what gender I want to identify as.
Why? You would Ask?
I am transgendered.
I for some time now have accepted myself as identifying as both genders, now I really to go back to identifying as one gender. This time, as Female.
Also, within the last months, I did remove my Gender from my Profile, that will change shortly to 'Female' .
This will confuse people, I know. But the only thing I care about, is whether or not I am happy. And right now, I am not happy....so I need to do what will feel right to me.
Does your boyfriend (AKA Dobe) Know that You Are Transgendered?
Yes, He Does.
I told him about it not too long ago. I hope He does remain by my side through this time and beyond. I love him, and He respects me a lot. I am very sure He will support me, even if I decide to go through with a sex reassignment operation.
Will you, AkichanX3 be getting a Sex-change operation in the Future?
Yes -- But not right away. I want to move out long before I really go through with this decision. And to give a kind of a timetable, I wish to have such an operation done by 2014 -- by the time I reach 29 years old pretty much.
Sasuke, You are doing this for Attention! This is some sort of phase, isn't it?
No. It is not. I am not doing this for attention.
And it's not a phase either. I am taking this extremely seriously. So I ask that you do too, if you have any respect for me.

Please call me she. I don't appreciate he/she or being referred to as "the guy want to be a girl" or "the girl who was a guy" . I now start to find that really degrading.
What Names are we to call you for now on?
